East Meets West

Here, Father Thomas and Brother David speak about the history of inter-religious and inter-spiritual dialogues. In this video, Father Thomas talks about the Snowmass conference, which convened 15 leaders of world religions, every year for some 20 years between 1980 and 2000. He said it was the friendships that developed over that time (speaking with one another, sharing food, getting to know one another), that allowed these leaders to "get inside" the religious experiences of each other. Listen to these leaders who have been sharing "the inside" of the religious experience with leaders of the world's great traditions for over 35 years.
