One of the goals of the Integral Vision is to resurrect the avant garde. The term is synonymous with "vanguard," or a small group who explore the cutting edge. Often it has been the artists who have pushed that edge most. This may be because, as Ken points out, artists have a freedom to experiment professionally in ways that most of us do not. Now that "cutting-edge" is integral, so we can look to integrally-informed artists to help us unearth the radical potentials that await us there. Ed Kowalczyk, lead singer of the band Live, is one such artist who brings an explicitly integral awareness to rock and roll, and here he offers a very intimate performance of his hit song, Overcome.
