The Emergence of Psychoanalysis

Though Psychoanalysis is an accepted practice in our society today, it’s actually a fairly new endeavor, historically speaking. It appears that this field of study was an evolutionary emergent born during the Industrial Revolution, at a time when many were “losing their religion” or, struggling to integrate new scientific understanding with their religious beliefs.
