Reincarnation: The Universal and the Unique
Here Ken is asked about the relationship between reincarnation and the ever-present oneness of Big Mind. In other words, we all share a single universal perspective; we are all manifestations of the transcendent oneness at the center of each of our own hearts. So in a sense, there is only one transmigrant, only one consciousness that reincarnates from lifetime to lifetime—pure Big Mind, the effortless Witness, the same awareness that persists during deep dreamless sleep. But alongside this singular consciousness, we each seem to have a unique perspective of the world, a "bottomless drop of the heart" that is exclusive to each of us—no one else can see what we see, from behind our own eyes. What of this uniqueness? Are these relative perspectives confined to the biological body, condemned to the same forces of entropy? Or do these unique perspectives somehow endure bodily death, each "bottomless drop of the heart" being an invincible ray of light emanating from the pristine oneness of the Always Already?
