Great homepage, but user options poor compared to IN & many communities

Great homepage design, but still the main critics to the IL website remain:

  • Missing NETWORKING ("add friends") feature of the IL profiles and community!
  • Missing DATES on media. Integral develops, so it matters if a talk happened in 2004 or 2009!
  • Missing DOWNLOAD options instead of Flash-only media!

Thanks for keeping that in mind!

New Home Page Improvements look great

Hi - YES!!!! The improvements to the home page are good.  Easier to read, scan the page and decide where to go next.

Good mix of white space and styling.

Thanks so much

Carolyn

Yes, looking better for the most part

There is an issue with the head shots of the contributors. I think you've made them larger but I'm not sure you've refreshed the image cache to actually recreate them to their new dimensions. I did a full page reload (cache incl.) and they are still appearing very pixelated (fuzzy) to me.

The other issue I'm having is with the "Integral: In the World" page. This is entirely too heavy for my netbook. It takes well over a minute to load and render in FF3.5 and then basically locks up the browser. Perhaps you could look at putting some of the sections into fieldsets so that the browser doesn't have to try to display everything right at the outset.

Lastly, I think your server needs a little more juice. I keep getting "connection dropped" errors. I don't know what your present site optimization and hosting situation is. You may want to run through http://drupal.org/node/326504 to make sure you've covered the basics on the Drupal side and if they are you may want to look at upgrading your existing hardware or going with an elastic cloud computing environment (eg. Amazon, Joyent, etc.).

Please keep up the great work... it's evolving nicely.

I don't want to hijack this discussion but I'd love to get some feedback on integral playground when y'all get a chance.

Beneficial changes

The new look is cleaner and feels more accessible.  Well done!

How about adding the possibility of searching the Archives by date?  Sometimes I miss a few weeks of postings and I've not found any simple and quick way to find what has appeared during that period.  The Integral Naked site offers a "Browse By Date" option, which is terrific.

Overall, keep up the great work!

Where's Ken?

I wish it were easier to check which presentations include Ken. The archive search is not helpful because his entries are not dated, so there is no way of telling how current they are. Am I missing something?
