This is it... The it switch is always on, just know it NOW

For myself Spirit is experienced in the knowing "this is it "  Be it in the church, or talking to a hobo , the miracle of Spirit is brought forth .  Generating the experience "this is it" one is experiencing Spirit in the grocery line, at a church mass, or in the heat of competition in a football game, the presence of Spirit and its knowing 'this is it" cause its never not it one is always nakedly aware of its light.

The bus running late, is this not it also, graffiti on the walls is this not it also. Its known now or its never  known. Its switch is always on lighting up the planet. so ya better know it now.

So I ask myself the question. Do my preferences get in the way of Spirits ever presence?  I prefer to speak to Paul Newman and communicate my gratitude for the contributions he made to our planet. My preference would be to be in his space.    And then I ask myself the question, how about the guy sitting at the end of the bar all by himself. Is not spirit also there ?  Can the experience of gratitude be generated for his presence as with Paul Newman ?  Can it be brought forth and into existence ? To me thats my practice, thats my training ground, the ground of BEING , where SPIRIT is brought into the space, the space of Paul Newman, and the space of Joe Lunchbucket.  My ego says " a six pack with Newman"..... transego... the possibility of generating Spirits presence with Joe LB, is created and directly experienced Now and always Now.

Relating to Spirit

I'm experiencing Spirit as the upwelling of love. I'm kinda interested in this immanent aspect of Spirit, Spirit experienced in 1st person that is not simply ever-present awareness. I guess its the Big Heart dimension of Spirit rather than Big Mind. My main practice is Reiki Tumo, which is a heart and feeling based meditation. In it I experience Spirit firstly in second person, the ever-present love that is welling up in me and is upwelling in all beings. It it not a devotional practice of surrender to an other but it does involve surrender. It is in relaxing into being, in touching and smiling to my heart, surrendering to feeling that I encounter the source of love who is moving into manifestation. If I surrender enough I am love, Spirit in first person, Big Heart.

The practice opens me up to connection with others beyond the fears of the persona. I am more grounded, less defensive and happier. Spirit is then the source of connectedness. This is the manifestation of Spirit as form rather than as emptiness, the duality side of non-duality.

Cheers

Re:How do you relate to Spirit?

Individual spirits envisaged as interconnected with all other spirits and with "The Spirit" (singular and capitalized). This concept relates to theories of a unified spirituality,642-973 to universal consciousness and to some concepts of Deity. In this scenario all separate "spirits", when connected, form a greater unity, the Spirit, which has an identity separate from its elements plus a consciousness and intellect greater than its elements; an ultimate,642-971 unified, non-dual awareness or force of life combining or transcending all individual units of consciousness. The experience of such a connection can become a primary basis for spiritual belief. The term spirit occurs in this sense in (to name but a few) Anthroposophy, Aurobindo, A Course In Miracles, Hegel, 642-587 and Ken Wilber. In this use, the term seems conceptually identical to Plotinus's "The One" and Friedrich Schelling's "Absolute".

relating to Spirit....

-- One of the strange or unique ways that I connect with Spirit is through the wind.  When I can feel shifting energies within myself, often I will experience a synchronicity of a powerful wind. My pen name that I gave to myself in High School when I started to write poetry is Windancer.  Now it is more of a soulful/spiritual name for me.

Another way I connect with spirit is through Reiki.  I become an open channel for universal life energy to pass through as I simply lay my hands on another person or some other life form.   Experiencing healing and supportive reiki energy in my life has been a major gateway for my harmony and intimacy with Spirit.

I think that just staying connected, aware, and on the path I have been on will continue to fulfill me.  Self-discipline and dedication to Integral Life Practices will help to ground me.  Setting Boundaries and Finding ways to stay "grounded" help me to grow solidly along my life journey.

I recognize Spirit in others when I choose to.  I make a conscious choice to lay myself aside and hold the other person in sight as the whole being that they are.  I attempt to just be present and allow them to be and express who they are.  This is a challenge to do, but I intend to keep trying.

Also, I continue to take care of myself and become the best that I can.  When I am strong and stable, I am more solid and have more love to offer.  It is a delicate dance of compassion, presence, love, inspiration, and passion.

I have learned that most people and dogs too just want to give and receive love.  We learn to give and we learn to receive.  The magic that circulates is life and love.  Life and Love is God, so there you go.  Spirit is found in the warmth of a gentle embrace and in the simple sweet connections. (I am still trying to experience household chores as spiritual, though still would rather go for a nice nature walk instead.)

Love,

Stacie
