Spirit and Psychosis

In this video an audience member asks Ken about an integral view of psychosis. She herself took anti-psychotics in order to overcome her own history of psychotic episodes. Interestingly, she regards many of the psychotic states she had experienced as some of the best times of her life, having felt so blissfully creative and visionary. Ken discusses some of the similarities (and many differences) between psychotic and mystical states, explaining what can happen when the boundary between self and world is broken rather than transcended.
