Shadow's End?
If we are aware of the different shadows we have, is it no longer a shadow and simply something that needs developing?
Using a basic AQAL map it seems to me that each line of development has to go through each level. While I understand the different levels, it's hard to differentiate between what I understand, where each line is and whether or not it's just residue left at that level that needs some spit shine or is actually at that level. Since you can't skip levels here's where I could use some clarification.
Let's start with the cognitive line. I couldn't understand any of this if I didn't go through the stages. However, "knowing is only half the battle." - G.I. Joe
Who am I? Ah. The self line. So a perfect intro has presented itself through my daughter (2). She is clearly at the Impulsive Self Level and went upstairs into the office to see Mom, interrupting the lesson. Like wise, my reaction was frustration, at what though? Well, me, I didn't keep her from going up stairs and so felt frustrated because of knowing what it feels like to be interrupted. So I'm typing and knowing that my daughter needs attention but not wanting to give it to her because I'm doing something. Guilty. But as it's stated "Be what you are and do what you want. Regardless." So am I just expressing that since I'm aware of it? Is it still shadow that needs some light? Or perhaps it points to a combination of other lines to develop?
It seems that the shadow can become most clear at the Impulsive level. What you react to.
Now my brain has shut down, too much analysis. Time for a break.
