the inter-penetration of quadrants

Hi - my focus had been primed by Barbi's fine post below on the Integral Ecology book and subject in general. I had several thoughts and minor questions and challenges for Barbi as I scanned the post, but as often happens I may not get to actually writing them out.

I am interested in the general question she raises when she well asks, in a sense, in what quadrant does one place phenomena or events. "Some of these questions below do not even appear to belong in the correct category or terrain."

In some quadrant renderings the grid lines intentionally are drawn broken or dotted, indicating this inter-permeability. Synchronistically, it was Sean who I saw once on a classroom video speaking to this issue. (As an aside, I think where he positioned these points, which Barbi places in her post, seem pretty faithful to the focusing and thereby clarifying activity that quadrants try to accomplish. And, cases can always be made.)

So, when I read this headline on msnbc,

"How do you measure economic anguish?"

http://elkhartproject.newsvine.com/_news/2009/04/19/2703030-how-do-you-measure-economic-anguish, I couldn't help noticing the obvious interconnectedness of right and left hemispheres.

That's all - some fun of recognition. By the way, the article and embedded video is somewhat interesting. ambo
