Ann Ralston

All things, by immortal power, near or far, hiddenly to each other linked are, that thou canst not stir a flower without troubling of a star (Francis Thompson)

About me

South African, living near Cape Town.   Introduced to integral way of thinking and acting some years ago, and it has been enormous inspiration and encouragement ever since.   Christian, have studied theology, been involved in pastoral work, been asking questions all my life.   Rollie Stanich, Bro. Steindl-Rast, Cynthia Bourgeault, Rupert Sheldrake,  and so many others are very helpful.   Live alone, in small house near the sea with view to mountains, sound of breaking waves in the distance, wild garden.   Also have a cat called Big-boy, who is now old enough not to be interested in catching birds, spends most of his time lazing in the sun.

Retired GP.   Spent most of working life in government clinics.   Have also been involved for at least 30 years in what might be called spiritual counselling/direction, for people in transition.   This has necessitated on-going reading/study etc so as to be able to be with different persons where they are and not where I may think they ought to be...So has been very challenging to me, to go through own growth and development pathways.

Have read a lot, lifelong, serious and light (love Jane Austen)...Like to walk, garden, listen music of many kinds, light through classical and gregorian chant.
