Dark Night of the Soul - Music & Images

Although my recent and soon to be released writings are all about the Dark Night of the Soul, I live my days mostly in balance and bliss.  However, there are times that bring about the dark night experiences.  I think in my younger years - 20's, my life was 95% in dark night and 5% in balance.  Luckily, now, in my 40's I think I have flipped that percentage.  The 5% only lasts a brief time and I am rarely convinced by it, but it still feels very intense, as I watch. And, I think different things are burning off now that I am in a different place.  Changing developmental stages and crashing into second tier seemed to be more about growing massively new structures and exploring the new, strange landscapes.  My shortened, but intense dark nights nowadays seem to be more about developing more non-attachment.   I am interested to hear others experiences of their dark nights.

Continuing on with the theme I seem to be compelled to write about at this time, I would like to share a new album, called Dark Night of the Soul, by Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse that is being released with a photobook, done by David Lynch, who also was involved in the album.  I learned about this on NPR.

Here is the interview with David Lynch and you can listen to this very unique album in it's entirety, called Dark Night of the Soul.

Enjoy.
