Thanks Ken for Inspiration
I wanted to take a moment to thank Ken for his talk yesterday at Vast Sky Conference with Genpo Roshi. I think we should take a moment and be mindful of the message Ken conveyed, and his admonitions to those who are at the "frothy" cutting edge. I heard him talk about some of his deepest wishes for those of us interested in Integral evolution.
He encouraged us to remember to concentrate on the transformation of our Inner Experience, to remain in our "practices that help change your structures, values and worldviews." This is first and foremost, before we can even think of having a truly positive impact on changing our behavior and changing the world.
He encouraged us to "hold divine pride" by being genuinely humble but living fully in our power. He prompted us to gain a clarity of vision and to remember our motivation to further evolution. He said we should not get caught up in a lack of clarity or being too humble, but rather "embrace being Fully Human & Fully Divine - powerfully hold both, anything less is a failure." "Be the leading edge and do it humbly and powerfully...and keep trying."
He expressed the desire to stimulate more of us to get together in gatherings or salons. I see this as key for myself and for the continued evolution of Integral.
I was personally inspired to remember the power of the basics - meditation, deep motivation in evolution (in all pursuits), and seeking more communion with others, "where (we) don't have to explain what the hell (we) mean!"
Thanks again Ken, for emphasizing the most important points of the Integral Life. Your commitment to the Integral movement is astounding and inspiring!
Truly Humbled, and Inspired to live more Powerfully,
Anne Tyler Lord
