I am a forty-something Gen-Xer from the Midwest in the US, a wife of 20+ years, a mother of eight-year-old boy/girl twins. I go to soccer games and own a mini-van, but fit no cliché Inside lives an Integral, Poetic soul. One of those sensitive, self-revealing, introspective, life-embracing, irreverent, rebellious Type 4 - Individualist, for all the Enneagram fans.

For over 10 years, I have embraced the journey of developing my states, stages, levels and lines of development, and have followed the Integral Movement as expressed by Ken Wilber. I swim in both Zen and Tibetan Buddhist contemplative practices.

I write under the pseudonym, Anne Tyler Lord. I was compelled to use the pseudonym when my writing life began over a decade ago. It signifies a time of radical departure in my life both spiritually and creatively. My first poem for public reading was set to music and images on YouTube, called Suspended In Thin Air.

My previous professional life as a family therapist focused on guiding others to live their best lives in all quadrants and discover their creative potentials. Storytelling and taking control of our own perspectives is a powerful transformative practice.

The most compelling dramas live in everyday occurrences. As we occupy higher strata in Integral Places, we still experience the range of human emotions and reactions, but with increasingly more intensity and in more detached ways. I hope to share & commune with others in this, sometimes lonely, often misunderstood, second-tier space.
