About Me
I've been a spiritual seeker and traveler for the past 24 years, ever since a powerful mystical experience in the mountains of California first pierced the shell of my contracted self and let life flow in me anew. I've studied in many different traditions – from Christianity to Hinduism, Buddhism, Sufism, the teachings of Krishnamurti, and beyond – but I have found the same golden thread to run through them all. For these personal reasons, as well as for more philosophical and intellectual ones, I have found much nourishment in Integral philosophy. If you run into me online, that's often where you'll find me – inquiring, dialoguing, and having fun here Integral Life, on the Integral Pod, the Integral Multiplex, and on several forums I have created:
Integral Post-metaphysical Spirituality
Pathless Land: A Krishnamurti Community
After years of studying on my own, traveling around the world to live and practice at different monasteries, ashrams, and spiritual “study centers,” I decided I needed to refine and integrate these experiences in a way that would allow me to serve others more effectively. To this end, I returned to school as an adult and earned an MA in Integral Psychology from JFKU, which has proved an invaluable support in my efforts to write, teach, and help others to follow their own golden threads…
Over the past ten years or so, I have been particularly inspired by the Time-Space-Knowledge vision of Tarthang Tulku, which I believe is a powerful (and under-appreciated) contemporary vehicle of spiritual inquiry and transformation. Recently, I have created several classes and workshops for exploring TSK and Integral Theory, which I plan to offer in the coming months. I also teach courses on consciousness and transpersonal psychology at John F. Kennedy University.
