A note to the universe:

The universe or someone else is changing my files on my video project.  It's actually a nice surprise to see such interest in my project, but for the record there are two different plots unfolding that I am attempting to illustrate or narrate in a 4:10 (hour:second) song without narration (aside from misheard song lyrics).  Neither of them go with the Shakira song except perhaps only in looks.

Since there is so much interest in my project I will attempt to provide a summary of where I am going with this theme.  It is partly based on life and partly fictional.
As in life, I am both a child, The Little Prince, and an adult, The Girl from Mars.  I consider myself to be as much (if not more so) the Little Prince than the Girl from Mars.  For this reason I cannot deny the child in me any more than I can the adult.  To do otherwise would be erroneous and perceived as a falsehood.  I am both a boy and a girl and an adult and a child simultaneously.

The story of "The Paris Match" begins with a scene in which the Little Prince is wandering from place to place inquiring, "Is any body there?"  Nobody responds to him.  He is in perpetual search for a friend because he is a child.  In this particular instance, however, he is not in search of a friend or for people generically but for his Pop.  The reason for this is because when I opened the project on the Windows Movie Maker, Belle and Sebastian's "Are You Feeling Sinister?" album cover and "Freezepop Forever" (Robotron 2000) were left in the collection bin from a few years back.  I thought that I was supposed to incorporate those album covers into the story of "A Paris Match."

..
I did not realize until tonight that "Freezepop" was in reference to ice cream popsicles in spite of there being two people with tongues frozen together in different colours on the album cover.  I thought that it was in reference to a freezing papa or "Pop" that was robotic.
 ..

Then, after randomly dropping off "If you are Feeling Sinister" album cover into the timeline next to "Freezepop Forever," I found it amusing and decided to elaborate on this theme. It is difficult but not to notice that when the two album covers are placed side-by-side like that and egged on by B and S's "If You Are Feeling Sinister," the compulsion is to slice the word, "Freezepop," into two separate words although they were originally spelled together as one primal word.  The overall impression I get is a frozen cadeavor of a papa, a robot, or a "Pop" since the message that I read was, "If You are Feeling Sinister, Freeze Pop Forever."

The Little Prince, on the other hand, is genuinely looking for his Pop after finding no people but also makes the same perceptual error of mistaking "Freezepop Forever" to read "Freeze Pop Forever" except without being sinister.  When he comes across two statues and two different billboard signs that read, "Freeze Pop Forever!," he took the message matter-of-factly to mean that his Pop prefers freezing all the time.  Having never met his Pop before, he thus reasoned that Mars, being colder than Earth, would be a more ideal location to get Pop's attention in the event that his father was in search of him and would like to remain cold and frozen solid in the process.

Prior to taking off with a flock of birds, the Little Prince erects a roadsign at the spot on Earth where he took off to leave so as to leave directions for the wayward traveller and to Mars, where the weather is much more freezing to his freezing Pop's liking.
By contrast, the Girl from Mars is not in search of a friend nor her Pop but is an adult female Martian or machine girl who was raised on Earth but stays preoccupied with many projects.  She is the one who is sinister.  This is because she is on the wrong planet.

After spending several years on Earth and not relating to anyone, she went back to her native Mars upon the discovery that she was from another planet and upon the realization that the one Earthling that she tried to relate to (because it didn't seem very "human") could not relate back..  When she spied on this human kissing a girl, she then decided to go back to Mars to return as the Girl from MARS ATTACKS!

Whereas in real like the Girl from Mars and the Little Prince are the same person, in this particular story they are two different entities with separate identities.  The two by chance encounter each other on Mars as she is departing and he is arriving--she, to attack Earth and he, to await on his father from Earth to come for him.  After startling each other momentarily for looking identical, the Little Prince then inquires to the Girl from Mars if she is his shadow.  She then takes off her mask to reveal that she is an alien from Mars before saying fare-well to the Little Prince to destroy Earth, including his Pop.

Since there are so many complex and interwoven story lines woven together by many different hands that are eager to assist me in this project, I thought that I should clarify where I was going with this story. I am  making it up as I go along.   I could use some assistance beginning with the second verse, since I cannot make out what it says and cannot think of a suitable replacement verse to put there as a  working substitute.

Since much of it is based on real life events, I am often confused as to who or what I am trying to express or be in this particular music video.  I appreciate the modifications that were made but do not think that the 1 HOUR and 7 minute session of music and random photo slides are appropriate for the story.  Perhaps it was not meant to be taken as part of the project but only as a joke, as I was under the assumption that only I was aware of this project and had full creative control over the creative aspects.

As usual, the flower or starlet plays only a minor inarticulated role.

Hi Barbi,

I will always read anything you publish here, no matter how whimsically silly it might be.  You caught my attention a few months back with the job you did on that climate change denier dude, Bolt I think was his name.  That was an amazing piece of work that really focused my attention on the topic of climate change, and I thank you for all the effort you must have put into writing it.   If you were ever to re-post any of your writing, let it be that series on the science of climate change.
