The Universe has withheld my access to Part 2 of the interview for some undisclosed reason in spite of my uploading the audio portion months ago along with the first portion. This will be broken up into four parts to make it more manageable.

Interviewer:
What are the elements ofa quality conversation if we were having a healthy conversation on climate change what would it 'look like'?
Zimmerman:
...what we have are not only disagreements between green liberal vs. modern conservative but it's more complicated than that but amounts to the typical polarizing dualizing problem hate speech it's awful with no attempt to find a common ground to study the issues to find a way that we all agree about because what are the issues? We don't agree about basic issues. What an environmental problem is for you and me is not shared by most people in the world climate change is way down the list compared to major basic needs
The mere fact that What an environmental problem is for you and me is not shared by most people in the world is an obvious no-brainer. Recent polls continue to confirm an ever-widening gap and polarity between increasing scientific certainty on human-caused climate change amids an increasingly distrustful attitude held by the public regarding scientific certainty and the consequent complacency to tackle the "hard issues" which is not to ultimately "find a common ground between people who disagree on climate change" for public relations but to tackle climate change itself.. This discrepancy between scientific certainty and public unawareness of this scientific consensus and certainty is no doubt fueled by the popular media in their efforts to present "two sides" of a "scientific debate" in the name of fairness and balance, and for the sake of controversy no matter how overwhelmingly discredited the dissenting scientific argument may be. Combined with disinformation campaigns geared not to the improvement of science, but towards public relations to influence public opinion and public policy (the so-called "Climategate scandal" being among the latest examples of a smear campaigned at diverting public attention away from mitigation efforts to reduce global warming), there is little wonder that for "most people" (and I would daresay that this would go for Zimmerman as well), climate change is way down the list of their priorities.
Whereas asking "What are the issues?" in a discussion on climate change by pointing to and citing the masses for whom climate change is "way down on the list of priorities" is one thing (and a "given" or "no brainer"), Zimmerman takes the argument a step further by claiming that climate change for most people is "way down on the list of priorities compared to their basic needs." This changes the nature of the discussion entirely in that not merely is Zimmerman citing an obvious given concerning populist attitudes towards global issues bu is pitting legitimate science in a dual opposition against "the major basic needs of most people in the world." By creating such a polarity, Zimmerman is actually doing a disservice to the integral community by endorsing a populist, nay--a mob mentality that is antagonistic towards legitimate science and which does not regard climate change to be a "basic issue" let alone a basic issue that concerns basic human needs. Consequently, it is a position that is ultimately in denial of human survival as a basic human need and is in denial of second-tier planetary survival and scarcity issues facing us at present Thus, contrary to those lofty aims or claims towards serving in the capacity of climate good-will ambassador towards all people who disagree on issues of climate change, Zimmerman's position is ultimately disingenuous in that it appears to be Zimmerman himself who is antagonizing the situation by excluding legitimate science from this "common ground" of agreement in public discourse. by adopting a populist green mentality and the scientific fringe to support his case of climate change denial. And given that it is essentially a position of climate change denial that attempts to place climate change mitigation in an either/or opposition to the basic needs of "most people in the world," we hardly regard Zimmerman to be in a position of authority or integrality to identify the elements of a quality conversation on climate change.
Interviewer:
So that number we hear a lot--that scientists are 90-95% in agreement about the co2. So what are we to make of that what we as a public to make of those kinds of numbers to know are those voices being heard?
Zimmerman:
So first of all those percentage figures are propaganda no one has polled all the scientists in the world. This is what those people who make up those figures want us to believe.
Hold up, Kemosabe. We don't know about you, but we (and dare we say, most "poepoll") understand that the interviewer is naturally not referring to the individual views of every single scientist in the world but.to studies or surveys that were conducted on individual scientists, universities, laboratories, and studies which were deemed to offer expert individual scientific opinions concerning the impact of human emissions of "CO2" on climate change. To suggest that such numbers require polling "every scientist in the world" for accuracy is naive bu fortunately is not a requirement for the sake of accuracy which rely on statistical data instead.. A survey conducted by the University of Illinoise in 2009 and published to Earth and Environmental Sciences found that of 3146 Earth scientists, 97% of climate scientists and 90% of scientists from every other field of science agree with the scientific consensus and the IPCC that human activity is cause of the current climate change through greenhouse gas emissions and predominantly through the burning of CO2. This survey is consistent with other well-known (but non-peer reviewed) surveys or opinion polls (such as Pew and Gallup) which have reported a steady rise in agreement among individual scientists over the years with over 90-98% in agreement with the scientific consensus depending on the area of specialization. This is in stark contrast to public opinion polls, which consistently report a high unawareness of the achieved consensus on climate change and have consistently reported a decline in public opinion that a scientific consensus has been achieved. A World Bank report in 2008 found that 58% of the public still believes that a "scientific debate" still exists. In November, 2009, Rasmussen found that a majority of Americans (52%) "believe that there continues to be significant disagreement within the scientific community over global warming" and that "while many advocates of aggressive policy responses to global warming say a consensus exists, ... just 25% of adults think most scientists agree on the topic." Public sentiments on scientific certainty or a scientific consensus, in other words, are in disagreement with scientists themselves, who are at 90%-97% in agreement with the scientific consensus. And by "scientific consensus," we are not referring to opinion polls of individual scientists but rather to synthesis reports, scientific bodies of national or international standing, and surveys of opinion among climate scientists. Currently, with the exception of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, no scientific body of national or international standing has maintained a dissenting opinion and the overwhelming majority have endorsed the IPCC's position. A 2004 study by Naomi Oreskes found that out of 928 papers listed in the ISI on the topic of climate change between 1993-2003, none were in disagreement with the scientific consensus. So not only is Zimmerman misunderstanding a question that was laid out straightforwardly by the interviewer concerning "numbers" but is taking this opportunity to misrepresent the facts by calling such surveys and studies which report on such "numbers" (whether peer-reviewed or non-peer reviewed)--as made-up "propaganda.:"
Interviewer, changing his position to agree with Zimmerman:
...There was always a dissenting percentage of scientists who had a "larger view"...
If by "larger views," the interviewer is referring to those fringe scientific theories which are hell-bent on blaming everything under (and beyond) the sun as the culprit of human-caused climate change with the sole exception of humans (the arguments held by less than 3% of all climate scientists)--one could argue that it is a "larger view" in terms of "spatial extent" or vacuity or by the sheer quantity or volume of imaginary or conceptual objects "running around" idiotically in the headspace of their scientific "minds"--
Unfortunately, that which is merely a "larger view" in terms of spatial extent or sheer quantity of imaginary or conceptual objects in the mindspace or psyche does not amount to an integral perception of "the whole" in "transparency" (diaphaneity). This is the ultimate downfall of Wilberian philosophy: it is spatially-oriented on mass, measure, and quantity of "multiple perspectives" at the exclusion of Time and the aperspectival whole..
Zimmerman:

there's aerosols,
Aerosols refer not to greenhouse gases but to particulates such as smoke, dust, and CFCs which reflect the sunlight and exert a cooling effect on the climate. Therefore, aerosols refer to global cooling; not to global warming. Global cooling from aerosols has been surpassed since the mid-1970s by global warming from GHGs.
there's land use,
"Land use" could refer to any number of human activities that involve the use of "land" (including fossil fuel combustion, depletion of resources, land clearing, irrigation, the burning of forests, farming, industrialization, cities, mining, squatting, bombiing, or whatever) but unless the activity refers specifically to human activities involving the burning of fossil fuel and the emission CO2 and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere to raise the Earth's temperature, "land use" (in and of itself) does not appear to be an activity contributing to global warming. And last we checked, human activity does not result in tectonic shifts, land formation, or continental "drifts" which could otherwise result in a change of climate.
And the "land use" argument totally sidesteps and ignores the most critical and worrisome area of the planet to be concerned about which is not land, but rather the oceans. It is not land, but oceans which act as a global sink and cover over 70% of the Earth's total surface area. It is not lad, "land use" that climate is most vulnerable to or sensitive of but rather changes in the oceans that are most capable of inflicting devastating changes on the the Earth's climate system.. These changes in the ocean are now observed to be the direct consequence of human activity from climate change from vast areas of "dead zones" increasing, marine life extinctions and coral bleaching, ocean heating, ocean acidification, sea level rise, glacial melt and land ice melt (which are needed as "land ice" for drinking water but are instead, are contributing to sea level rise), sea ice melt (resulting in the loss of albedo and the replacement of thick, year-round sea ice with thin, seasonal ice that is no longer capable of reflecting back sunlight back into space year-round which results in heat from the sun being absorbed as heat by the ocean waters), and the numerous different feedback mechanisms that are triggered as a consequence of such changes such as those which are now measurable by changes in the ocean's salinity whereby increased water vapor in warmer regions near the equator, for instance, has resulted in saltier ocean water due to ocean evaporation into the atmosphere resulting in increased water vapors in the air which, in turn, act as a powerful feedback mechanisms in the form of greenhouse gases to amplify the effects of global warming to evaporate more ocean water which, in turn, act as a powerful feedback mechanisms in the form of greenhouse gases to amplify the effects of global warming to evaporate more ocean water and so on. In colder regions, the ocean waters are becoming less alkaline due to the recent influx and admixture of fresh melt water into the ocean from land ice melt and glacial melt and contributing to sea rise. And the ocean, which acts as a global sink for CO2, has begun to show signs of diminished capacity to absorb the excess CO2 to act as a global sink for humans: meaning that whatever CO2 cannot be absorbed and buffored by the ocean waters--must be expelled into the air and released back into the atmosphere. And unlike black carbon emissions or water vapor (which behind CO2 rank as third and second most abundant greenhouse gases, respectfully)--once released into the atmosphere, CO2 remains there for hundreds of years before it is cleared by the natural carbon cycle. In fact--all the CO2 that humans have ever released in to the atmosphere since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution is still with us in the atmosphere or is currently being stored in the ocean (unlike BC or black carbon emissions which only remain in the atmosphere for weeks). In short, should one truly be concerned about basic issues or basic human needs (such as fresh drinking water for quenching thirst and for irrigating crops for food for providing nourishment and preventing starvation), it would seem that rather than being so concerned with the current state of third world hunger which has existed since time immemorial or with raising the standard of living for those in third world countries (which does not appear to be a genuine offer of help to the poor by generous white Americans or Europeans but is merely is being argued out of convenience to forever distract us from the task of mitigation to avoid at all cost having to fund such a potentially costly task), such people would be far better served to maintain their current level of subsistence (however meager or harsh by first world industrialized nation standards) so as to permit richer nations to attend to the high cost of mitigation efforts to avert the most catastrophic effects of global climate change instead. By averting the most catastrophic effects of global climate change, we can thereby be of real assistance to those in poorer countries by preventing climate change to avert a massive influx of hundreds and millions of climate change refugees flooding into the country over the next several decades from poor countries closer to the equator (who will be hardest hit by the effects of climate change). Only then can we hope to be of assistance or value to the world's poor (myself, I fall under the poverty line too. Do you?) in order to finally attend to the long-awaited task of modernization and global economic justice for all: however, this will not be possible until second-tier planetery survival issues (e.g. global warming) and planetary scarcity issues (e.g. overpopulation, depletion of resources) are adequately met. Should these issues fail to be resolved or addressed by the end of the current century by the Earth's inhabitants, concerns much closer to home such as physical self-survival will be the overriding concern for most Americans to be among the 1 billion left on the planet as a result of catastrophic and irreversible climate change. What Zimmerman is proposing is back-assword, in other words; but I digress. In light of all of this one would seem to be worrying about changes in the ocean first rather than simply appearing to be looking for a nonhuman scapegoat to take the blame for human-caused climate change, such blaming the sun, land use, or the use of other bogus scientific argument discredited decades ago and eliminated by due scientific process.

Ammonia is highly toxic to fish and the water discharge level of ammonia from wastewater treatment plants must often be closely monitored. To prevent loss of fish, nitrification prior to discharge is often desirable. Land application can be an attractive alternative to the mechanical aeration needed for nitrification.
"Nitrogen cycles" appear to be environmental hazards but in and of themselves do not appear to contribute to climate change or global warming.
Why is it that climate change deniers reach for every possible argument to avoid blaming CO2 from human activity, the most obvious culprit?

And for science you have to have data that is available that you can check and the whole thing is carried out in public (supposedly) this is all in a realm ideally about establishing the facts from the scientific point of view on the other hand this is policy how we are to spend our money none of these things are self-evidently true different value options different ways of approaching the matter the sciencee has a role to play Roger Pileke Jr. wrote the Honest Broker he wrote where scientists go wrong is when they become stealth advocates where they show up at a committe meeting wearing a science hat and pushing a certain policy agenda that is not revealed up front his colleages formed a kind of tribla consciousness and became insulated and so vested in their view that they tried to interfere with the peer review process and with the journals and Hulme is saying time to get rid of the IPCC where the lines between science and policy get wrongly blended this issue about lines being blurred between science and policy: this is what climategate is about science is about the development of hypothoses to explain a certain phenomena and for science to work you have to have data that is publicly available and the whole thing is carried out in public supposedly this is all in a realm ideal..."
All of these accusations by Zimmerman appear to be based on accusations waged against the CRU scientists by climate change deniers in the CRU hacking incident in an effort to make their groundless accusations appear to be part of a "wider conspiracy" of scientific fraud; although I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Pielke or any other scientific dissenter cited by Zimmerman has made the same such groundless accusations against individual scientists, the scientific consensus, the IPCC, or against science itself. As it turns out, however, these CRU scientists have been cleared of any wrongdoing by independent investigative panels who have determined that their only faults amounted to saying unkind things in private emails against their scientific opponents or in their failure to respond to the deluge of requests for "data" and "information" demanded by climate change skeptics and deniers when 95% of this information was already freely available to them and open to the public. As for Hulme, I have not read the book but have read enough articles by him or about him to understand why a climate change denier such as Zimmerman would want to frame his argument around the logic of Hulme and follow in his footsteps: Zimmerman has mistaken Hulme's "post-normal" GREEN scientific relativity with "Integral":

Now in similar vein, ‘post-normal’ science deconstructs scientific empiricism and rationalism and detaches science from truth. In other words, where science fails to support an ideology, the absolute and overriding imperative of putting that ideology into practice means that science has to suspend its very essence as a truth-seeking activity and instead perpetrate lies. That is the inescapable implication of Hulme’s position. To support the bogus claim that we face the imminent collapse of civilisation from global warming, science itself has to be reconceptualised as an instrument of propaganda and justified by mendacious and obfuscatory post-modernist jargon. Hulme concludes:
Climate change is too important to be left to scientists – least of all the normal ones.

So the true battleground has now been illuminated for us. The real fight is between scientists who believe in empirical observation and the truth, and ‘post-normal’ scientists who believe in ideology and lies. It’s a battle between Enlightenment values of rationality and those who wish to return us to a pre-rational era where thought was controlled and truth was a heresy. The stakes could not have been delineated more clearly.
"I just hope people look at the evidence of how the climate is changing in such a systematic way. I hope they make up their minds on the scientific evidence." (Stott) Amen to that.
And a final commentary on Hulme by an integarl commentator:
Well-meaning and sincere, this attempt to redefine the philosophical underpinnings of Science sounds to me more like an attempt to re-invent the wheel. Or perhaps to re-formulate Fire: as if the prior Fire was no longer sufficient, since not enough members of the public fully understood Combustion. "Warranted knowledge" is an exercise in futility: ultimately, any kind of Knowledge is open to doubt. Do I know the precise date of my birth? But what if the calendars were off? Will the sun rise in the morning? But what if one day something causes the earth to cease its revolutions? This kind of childish game can be played ad nauseam with literally any kind of "solid" data. Is 2+2 actually 4? But what, exactly, is 2? Isn't the precise value always something infinitesimally greater or lesser than the purported abstract value? Can any measurement truly be accurate? Can we speak of 2 degrees C? In translation, can any word in one language actually have a true equivalent? Isn't the existence of cultural constructs, connotations and suggestive semantic clusters ultimately proof that no language can ever be translated accurately? Should we even bother trying to communicate? How can some 200 nations ever hope to agree on anything? These kinds of reflections, while interesting as manifestations of the ambiguity of Certainty to thoughtful folk, do not ultimately help anyone get anywhere in life, within science or outside of it. How can anyone assert "doing science in 2010 is different from doing it in 1960 or even 1985?" Why? Because everything has to be voted on & cleared by groups external to the process & the discipline? Because school systems have failed to explain, most notably to Americans, how numbers operate or how human beings depend on oxygen, which is not infinitely renewable? The purpose of democratic processes is to ensure some social order, a semblance of harmonious coordination in administering the public trust, and a reasonable attempt at safeguarding justice. The realm of Knowledge has nothing to do with Democracy. You do not need to take a vote on the diagnosis, or explain to every last man Jack exactly why we need new types of engines, or less nail lacquer. If the price of nail lacquer doubles so that less of it might wind up in landfills, we do not need to create new institutes and encyclopaedias to satisfy the inquisitive young out there as to why there is less of their little luxury being produced (or "Why We Disagree on Climate Change"). Only supremely learned & well-mannered people such as the authors of this appeal to scientists to be "nicer" to those who revile or rebuke them could actually imagine brutes can be reasoned with. Had they lived more amongst these brutes, as some of us have, they would not be wasting their breaths on trying to win their sympathies.
And finally, "tribal consciousness" sounds like a nifty buzzword but, at any rate, appears to be "a fact of life: birds flock, fish school, people tribe," according to Ken Wilber and Dan Logan in The Art of Tribal Leadership. In light of all these empty and groundless accusations, a meaningless term to apply to any group of professionals in particular should all of them be tribal. Never mind all of that, journalism or whatever I-integral is has apparently decided; context and "balance" are only important GREEM things to consider when reactionaries are the ones accused of doing something wrong. If thoughtful people who dare to suggest that there is actually a problem which needs a proactive solution are "exposed" as being less than 100% consistent and perfect, however, let's break out the "-gate" suffix and make a scandal of it. Congratulations.

The situation as I see it
Posted May 24th, 2010 by Richard Layman in response to Aspie?From reading many of Barbie's posts referencing Aspergers (which I know very little about) I think she is well aware of her "situation" over all (but I have wondered, Barbie, how aware are you of your apparent transitions, reflected in the various styles and organization of your writing, as such changes occur?).
I also have an atypical neurology, perhaps somewhat the opposite of Barbie's. If a typical person's brain is like a 250hp ford my brain is like a vintage 40hp VW. I can go places and see things the ford or even a Jeep 4x4 cant but only very very slowly and I may have to make multiple trips to match their single load... I don't know about Barbie but I wouldn't trade places with anyone.
Barbie seems more like a maserati with intermittent fuel and handling problems. When everything is synchronized she blows the doors off anybody else I've read on this forum, especially on climate change.
Cognitive evolution (or lack of it) vs the progressive development of a baseline of culturally transmitted competence, is another matter....I argue that nobody here, including Barbi, gets it right.

Getting it right
Posted May 25th, 2010 by Richard Layman in response to Better to Be in Truth when directions make no senseI listened to the audios "I'M SO FULLLuV iDears, and hear's SOME BAD IDEAS" but they didn't mean much to me -- another cognitive deficit of mine, I can't process words with music well, I think it just overloads my buffers. I started tapering off listening to music about 10 years ago, down to zero now. I even have trouble with accents now (didn't used to).
"Getting it right" is just an expression I use a lot without thinking about how it makes any sense on its face. When I think about it, it's a pretty weak expression. Getting it "white" might make more sense on its face but could be definitely be offensive.
The opposite, "getting it wrong" makes more sense because the word "wrong" is less ambiguous.
Truth: I lean towards probability. Doesn't always serve the need, though. I think I tend to avoid making statements about someone telling the "truth" or not. Its just such a loaded word. Of course I now realize that "right" can be a loaded word, too. (I didn't know that gun was loaded)
I am very interested in the subject of information quality. Have you given that much thought?

(The "ranged" and the "perceple" typographical errors inserted acausally by "the Itself" via magical 'doing without knowing' andl 'meaningful accidnet" so as to bring our "net" attention to a deficient structure of consciousness, the mental-rational structure (orange and gree), whosse net value system of quantity, mass, measure, abstraction, and vacuity in space referring exclusively to the abstract world of concepts or numeric values and representations (e.g., "likeness, simile" to quality via representation but not the "real thing") are confused with and mistaken for values of quality. It is only the "concrete"--never the "abstract"--which can be made "concrete" and thereby integrated into the whole: never the "abstract." This important insight of Gebser concerning "the concrete" and concretion of the spiritual (Time) is to distinguish that which is brought to concretion by becoming transparent to the whole from that what is merely "abstract" or conceptual. This is echoed in the sentiment or foreboding, "What is important is invosible to the eye" by the fox in anticipation of and in agreement with Gebser's important insighg and conctribution to integral theory some 60 years prior to the time of my introduction to it and to offer further veracity into the meaning of the "concrete" by first differentiating "what is concrete" that from that which is merely "abstract" and perceptible to the eye of logical mind of spatially-confined rational adults in three-dimensional space who assess and dismiss our presentiations as immature and later to distinguish "what is visibly concrete in transparency" from that which is merely "given" matter-of-factly and simplistically to concrete-literal "minds" or imaginations of small children and those on the autistic spectrum thisorderis also necessary to distinguish "concretion of Time" via access to all of Time to perceive what is true via transparency from what is merely understood or "grasped" (white flash) theoretically in integral theory as a concrete-literal perception of reality based "matter-of-factly" and uncritically whether by pre-modernists, modernists, postmodernists, or ultra-postmodernist or ultra-modernist rationalist adults concerning the "myth of the given" to the extent that they are capable of distinguishing what is transparently visible and true and made perceptible via acess to the whole of Time, hence, hence via accessibility to the whole--from mere observations and truth-claims or denialists of truth based on a three-dimensional immersion within spatial u vacuities and numeric quantities of space who confuse values of quantity (e.g., "data") with values of quality and vacuity with the plenitude of the whole. To reiterate: quality and plenitude are aspects that are unique to Time and the plenitude of the whole (which is not in reference to "space," which by contrast is a vacuity and a quantity). And while we we cannot overemphasize the importance and necessity of "information quality" and demand that it be of the highest "quality" with regard to accuracy in reporting and measurement of things or cunceptual objects for I-I ego-subjedcts in space based on numberic rank or percentages or concensus in the sciences, in medicine, and on the science of global warming, "information quality" is a value that refers to values of "net" quantity in space or to rank perceptile in precision of spatial measure so are in reference to "data"--that is, to values of quality: which are distinct from values of quality in that quantitative values refer exclusively to quantities in space and are therefore amenable to measurement whereas values of quality are incapable of immeasurable and can only be brought to perceptibility to be integrated by becoming transparent to the whole, that is--to Time. Hence, the musicla selections with poetry and riddles (which refer to aesthetic values of quality via access to all of Time) to integralate those observations previously only capable of assertion via "belief" of religion or "truth-claims" or "percentages" in terms ofspatial quantity and precision to ware the truth that our veracity on issues of climate change are being brought to us repeatedly by the Universe via access to all of Time which must use different "methodologies" of rational science based purely on spatce and find that those who are stuck in rational and refuse to listen to our music selections or to tolerate the trnasparenby made possible by aucasal acausal insertions of typographical or grammatic errors or use of unconfentional lannguage of my posts to only read words instead of listening to the music or following our "stories" are stuck to three-dimensional space and will probably never become transparent to the whole due to their hardening of the arteries to the soul and to spirit and hence, confinement to space of mentality and thinking. Because of my neurolinguistic deficit (no reference to "NLP" theory intended--no one can expect to misappropriate a common term like neurolinguistic, or love or reality, for their own proprietary use but it is very commonly done I think for reasons of a character disorder in which a person is --I'm getting the word "attracted" and "tempted" but these are only blocking the word I am really trying to retrieve--this is an example of my neurolinguistic deficit in action--anyway, attracted to committing the misappropriation as a way of getting attention by taking something that doesn't belong to one) I am having to reread your post many times and rest and assimilate in between readings. This neurolinguistic deficit that forced me to choose the word "attracted" instead of the one I wanted and still can't recall is also making me slow to respond to your post, but I do not make the interpretation that the universe wants me to choose the word "attracted" or to reread your post many times but that my cognitive neurolinguistic deficit is the proximal cause of those facts. Regardless, I am anything but a pedantic person. I am imaginative and intuitive but instead of rendering my imagination in its raw form I like to process it through my critical thinking and organizing department as well--not being rational instead of imaginative/creative but in addition to--why? I guess because that is just my chosen style of organization and expression. I don't think I am loosing or repressing anything--everything is still accessible in memory and "in my bones" and my gut including the raw intuitive and imaginative experiences that might make good poems or impressionistic drawings that I don't have the time and energy to do now, although I once did. I do not care about creating works of art any more but I still care about exchanging thoughts with others. When the subject is art or creativity or non-rational ways of knowing, etc. I am comfortable with that epistemologically but more challenged due to my cognitive deficits which favor narrow-band linear expression over wide-band high resolution audio and graphics whether figuratively in the case of poetic/artistic mental images or literally in the case of multimedia content. It is actually easier for me to read text than to watch a video of the same talk.
Now it has come to me that I wanted to say "find it irresistible" (instead of being "attracted") to misappropriate a common, publicly owned word or phrase in order to provoke some attention by grabbing something out of another's hand. I think that is a narcissistic impulse. Now I don't think the universe withheld the word irresistible from me nor sent me the word "attracted". It was more likely the much more proximal cause of my neurolinguistic deficit. I put no stock in typos, either, as messages either from the universe or from my own mind. Even if they have meanings in hindsight or even if I discovered they had connections with other interesting events I would still consider them accidents even if in hindsight they were totally suitable for framing or bronzing.

That is the definition that Ken Wilber taoght me many ages ago prior to my introduction of Jean Gebser who does not define "perspective" as merely the ability to "stand in someone else's shoes" to seee and "empathize" from "their" "personal" perspectives but-not-only-but-also (and more fundamentally), "perspective" is the capacity to stand in opposition to space (that is, to stand in opposition to "outer space") as a thinking ego-subject in "inner space" of mind in order to meansure, observe, and possess it rationally or pluralistically in three-dimensinoal space. What Wilber defines as "the intersubjective space of We" is actually not a "perspective" but is a previous mode of realization called two-dimensional unperspectival due to their lack of awareness of three-dimensinoality (e.g., "depth space" or "extent" in terms of mass, measure, or quantity). Whereas two-dimensional unperspectival consciousness knows time, it does not know "space" and cannot "objectify" and hence, is "unperspectival" wheeras the three-dimensional orange and green consciousness knows "space" but only knows one form of time: quantified and sequential time and hence is perspectivally-oriented. As time is essentially a quality and possesses qualities that are distinct from space, to regard it as a "quantity" is to falsify time into space. This is why a non-integrated consciousness cannot perceive the whole to impart to you the truth: s/he only has access to what is measurable or observable in physical or conceptual space or other wise has access to conventional groutp-thought of mythic two-dimensional menmbership or to one-dimensional ofempathy of other humans to acquire a "theory of mind." To merely "integralate" the previous forms of consciousness from the perspective or "multi-perspective" of mindspace is to not be integral--but to be merely attempting synthesis or a combination of broken-off "parts" and trying to amasss a "bunch of parts" (be they "perspectives" or whatever) to create a "whole." The duality created by a personal Self however locks one to space and out of Time and locates the person in space and cuts the individual off of the Itself of the Universal consciousness: which is wholeness via access to all of Time. Only when one has grown completely sick, hopleless, weary, pathetic, and bored of defending or developing the personal "Self" and has nothing more to "live for" in terms of what "life" has to offer whether in terms of peopoll, self, or "things" is it possible to turn from the fiction of personal Self-development of i-Integral philosophy (whether as an individual ego-self or as a part of a "group-identity) to become transparent to the whole of "the Itself" which is beyond self, Self, Absolute Ego or "Radical Dualism" (all three dimensional) and is neither bound to subject(s) (Green/Orange) nor to object*s(Orange/Green) in three dimenisional $pace. Wilber's response to Gebser's aperspectival arational integral is that it is "aperspectival madness" (seeing multiple "perspectives") indicating that he dies not understand Gebser's use of the termto distinguish integral "aperspectival" from green "multiplistic perspectivals" which is also evident in the tendency of Wilberian philosophers to so readily embrace the post-normal "soft, warmy feely sciency fictionals" as an alternative to "normal" science in an effort to "see from other peoples shoes or perspectives that I-Integral_iFe.com endorses no matter how fictitious or partial. As leaders on scales both large and small, it's our job to grapple with hard problems. At times, with the mere mention of these problems, we feel a weight settle upon us. One such weight looming large for many world leaders is climate change.
You can probably feel the difficulty of the whole situation. Time is short, uncertainty is high, and the stakes may be even higher. Competing business and political interests collide every day. The tensions run deep, driven by conflicting values and differing needs. This is the nature of the hard problems of our time: they are densely interconnected, emotionally-charged and complex. They also change rapidly, often without warning. In effect, these are what scientists call "adaptive problems" (or "wicked problems"), where the problems may actually evolve by the day. (In contrast to adaptive problems are technical problems, which tend to have a static solution where the skills, needs and capacities to solve them are known.) Climate change is immensely difficult because it is an adaptive problem, and requires adaptive leadership to address. Confronting an adaptive problem takes more than a bag of tricks, it takes a whole new way of being with a broader and more complex mindset on the world—a way of being that is naturally able to:
Step outside one's ideology and value system in order to re-craft a more complete view of a situation
Understand the evolutionary nature of the people, culture, behavior and systems that contribute to complex problems
Quickly grasp the complexity of a situation
Build trust between diverse interest groups
Stay grounded amidst the constant demands for change
Find the confidence necessary for courageous action

Mere words cannot describe the music of Lucia Pamela, star of this week's feature story. Maybe it's because of her unique artistic vision. Maybe it's because her one album, Into Outer Space with Lucia Pamela, was recorded on the moon. (This is what she always claimed, and really, there's no reason to doubt her.) 
Whatever the case, we at Riverfront Times cannot let our story about Lucia Pamela pass into the archives without sharing some of her music with you, our dear readers. All MP3s are posted courtesy of Erik Lindgren at Arf! Arf! Records, which produced and still sells the 1992 CD reissue of Into Outer Space.

Sadly, Lucia Pamela never recorded anything after Into Outer Space. But her spirit lives on: Stereolab wrote a song about her, "International Colouring Contest," which appeared on 1994's Mars Audiac Quintet. (Video below.) Stereolab vocalist Laetitia Sadier recently told the RFT, via e-mail: "There was something radically optimistic about her, that imagination was strongest of all and would conquer all, which was really inspiring."
Pamela was just one of many practitioners of what is known as outsider music. The blog at WFMU, the New Jersey radio station where outsider music scholar Irwin Chusid toils as a DJ, also has a very fine repository of outsider work, including the legendary song-poems and a Japanese interpretation of the Beach Boys called Pot Sounds. "Maybe the people will to be the Times or 'space'" by the song, "MAYBE THE PEEPLE WILL BE THE TIMES OR BETWEEN HILL AND CLARKEDALE OR CLARKESVILLE OR MAYBE, "CLARKEHILE" BY ARTHUR LEE AND HIS PSYCHEDELIC BNAD.

The image above is the image that was taken by moi while i was sitting on the comode in the bathroom which at the time was for the purpose of showcasing the warm brown Byzanteum tones of the bathroom but when the picture was taken, it turned out blue. Over time we began to "piece together" the varoous clues that the universe is isending to me via encoded languages and messages long prior to the imagery below apearing on this site of Zimmerman videos: to reveal via transparency that by becoming transparent to th e whole in transparency (diaphabneity), that which was previously hidden and concealed as nonessential, "too complicated," "nonexistent" or invisible to the eeye of bodymoind becomes visibly transparent to the whole of consciousness in tranceparency to verition and impart the truth and not merely offer "truth claims" without capacity for "proof." We are now being informed that the partially concealed boxes in graye or black boxes were among ather reason it waws in anticipation of the imagery below, which attempt ed to "present" a false vision of the world by posting a picture of a giant iceberg to imply non-transparenty and therefore, non-integrally that global does not exist as "warming" but only as "cooling" that and sea ice isn't melting because looky here:
That is is an iceberg and is not the same thing as melting sea ice (whether in the form of year-round sea ice or seasonal sea-ice which floats mostly on top) so is presenting a false impression of the nature of the global warming that is occurring by confusing ice bergs that are heavy chunks of land ice that break of f of the glaciers so are heavy and are mostly underwater with melting glaciers and melting sea ice. All ice bertgs look like that. Now we are noticing that the recent images that have been changed by the universe to all black or all graye with a little bit left visible "on top" means that we are from the Universe or are either "mixed"; but that you peeplos who are climate change deniers are landlubbers from EArth made of clay bu are heads up toward the sunny blue sky up above looking face up while the rest of the body of humanity and Earth are "headed" DOWN "below" towardS HELL AND HIGH WATER; that is--underwater.

On barbie's accidental comment to my "Descartes" comment
Posted May 24th, 2010 by Richard LaymanBarbie, I can't even imagine (I say somehwat enviously as I try) what it must feel like to blast such a high bandwidth burst of streaming thought into print.... pretty good I imagine.... I would need at least ten of my current brains in parallel, each with its own set of independently moveable eyeballs perhaps. My typing speed of about 30 inacurate words per minute forces me to compress and organize my thoughts well before typing. I look forward to reading your reaction to my idea about dualism/quadism vis a vis non-dual or aperspectival groking of a dynamically incipient version of reality that might be transpersonal or universal as well as something other (what was the other thing?) Inner/outer (subjective/objective)and singular/plural distinctions seem only to be distinctions of convenience (moving mathematical parentheses or brackets around) for a particular associative or transitive purpose. The distinction/relation between part/whole seems more ultimately insoluable and yet you can move the boundaries all around there as well.
I said time was important without saying how because I don't have much of a grasp on what it is....it mainly seems to apply only in the case of motion or change which depends on the presence of a something which moves and/or changes in situ. I wish I had some inkling of where gravity fit in the quadrants. Same place as spirit, I suppose, although my current thinking is that the concept of spirit is either wrong or superfluous to a natural explanation of natural phenomena. If it is supernatural then it belongs with the name of God--unspoken by our natural tongues. Amen.

Buffer overrun

The typos, original words and creative spellings sometimes make it hard to parse individual phrases, too. This is a particular neurological deficit of mine.

I have no problem parsing most of your excellent climate change posts where you are responding point by point to what someone else has said, so I assume the linguistic scaffolding of the quoted work is more familiar to my input processor, making your posts by inheritance easier for me to parse and interpret.
The post I am replying to appears to my brain as a pot full of snippets about time, space, dimension, culture, etc. that has been dumped out on the desk in front of me. I am not seeing any bigger picture or pictures in the tea leaves, so my brain is not able to compose a a very full response, as much as I would like to. I hope you may write something more conventionally organized that I can follow because I am very impressed with your wealth of knowledge on many subjects of interest to me and your ability to logically dissect and refute climate science denier BS.
That said, a few comments about time. You listed many examples of time words/concepts that were consistent with my statement that time seems always to pertain to movement in space or change in situ. I was thinking that even change in situ, such as ageing or heating and cooling, probably is a subset of movement-- movement on the microscopic or sub-microscopic level. So maybe my statement about time can be contracted to just movement. However, it occurs to me that time can be applied to something motionless in this way: "That stone has not moved for 3 hours" (ignoring the possible motion of whatever the stone may be attached to). Would this simply be another subset of movement: movement=0?
The only other interesting things I know about time pertains to relativity and quantum mechanics. Though I don't think I fully understand either field, I find it fascinating that 1) there is a measurable correction that must regularly be made to the GPS satellite clocks and 2) that certain subatomic particles are said to be capable of being detected in two different places at the same time.
I don't have much to say about the latter, but regarding the GPS clocks I guess I am baffled as to why the clocks cannot be built so that they stay continuously in synch with time on the ground without repeated "corrections". If they know the amount of the relativistic corrections required, why not build the satellite clock slower or faster than the earth reference clock in the first place?
A look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPS_clock and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Positioning_System reveals that the clock errors and communication errors involved in reading any clock remotely are possibly not relativistic at all but a variety of less exotic errors in atomic clocks and radio transmissions. The individual GPS clock corrections at any given time may need to positive or negative and the amount of correction varies. They are not predetermined but are computed ad hoc.
Hmm. I am getting suspicious of the scientific education I am getting from the Discovery and History channels.
