What is the purpose of a flower?

 Guess what?

The reason I said that the flower, as always, remains inarticulate, is because I never knew exactly what her supporting role was as a starlet or a flower in a movie or in the little prince as a flower who gets only one or two pages in a book, but remains mostly inarticulate and then gets left.  They do not seem to have a function, other than to be pretty and to perfume up a planet with their fragrance.  OH, and also I think that they produce alkoloids for changing brain chemistry, etc. for the alteration of consciousness.  By chance, I have always been fascinated with pretty girls: drawing them and being pretty.  In fact, I'd rather be dead than be ugly, old, or fat, or uglier than any girl or woman and always think about my looks.  My mother always tries to get me to get all dressed up and pretty to take me to a restaraunt in Quitman to show me off.  It is boring for me to do that, but makes my mother very proud.  So I got "kind of" dressed up tonight and put on make-up but am wondering if flowers even bloom at night?  Or do they only bloom only in the day time?  Confused.  Must they only be out in sunlight?

I don't think that I look like a rose.  I don't like roses, any way..

Are there male flowers, or only female?  What other things do flowers do?

I am pretty but would probably get really pissed off and jealous if some guy or girl said that another girl was prettier than me.  No one ever has said that to my face, but there probably are some that are prettier.  I don't think that my fragrance is good nor bad but sometimes I forget to take a bath due to getting really into what ever I am doing by myself.  But when around other people, I do take baths..  What else.  I kind of glossed over those one or two pages in the book each time. For some reason, I always thought that I was the little prince.  Now, I think I am the flower, because now after reading the book once again, and remembering that morning when Satan arrived at sunrise, I think I acted exactly as the flower and then, ran him off for lying about something but only doing that because I was embarrassed and trying to act tough or put him down.  What else: oh.  My hair was curly and is naturally.  I hate it.  But think it is supposed to be that way.  And that's why my back is crooked, too.  It hurts like hell right now..

I do every thing that that flower does--including cough all the time and complaining.  My dad has been wanting for me to get it checked out  (my cough) says that I'm smoking too much and I blame it on allergies. I don't know what it is. Just started noticing it a few years ago, although I always have cleared my throught all my life out of habit. I don't know what it is.  But I do not lie unless it's fun and really exaggerated.  And my mom is constantly worrying about my scoliosis and keeps reminding me to call the orthopedic surgeon to make an appointment for surgery after checking to see if Medicare will pay..  I think that I should get surgery, but do not know what to do because I think I should ask the little prince bu tdo not know where he is to get his opinion.  What else: (just all off the top of my head...)  OH yeah.  I notice in the story that the flower only talks to the little prince, and the little prince only talks to one person at a time all the time but is never with a group of people socializing except when he saw the bunches of flowers together.  I never had friends as a kid, but I did manage to make friends when I became a teenager but only with one person at a time just like the little prinice or the flower but only with a guy.  And when Patrick comments, Van Monk does not and when they do not, Franna Montanana does.  Always, I am conversating with only one person at a time with me unless i get to have a monologue and talk a bunch of shit..

Anywayz, I was about to delete everything about the Mr Bolt thing out of embarrassment, after posting many posts on Bolt, who ever that is, in order to be a big shot or something to whoever, then noticing how silly I was acting to oke whatever.  I then got embarrasssed and wanted to delete everything and never come back here again.  I am also like the flower because she does not like to see people in the face and neither do i; and she does not like for people to see her cry but only see her be a tough buy. guy.

I'm trying to figure out what else the flower did in the story.  Oh, yeah: they are ephemeral and they always stay still and motionless.   My mom said I'm that way: not out of choice; I would like to be a moving and transparent sphericity that is maybe spinning.  Oh, they only have water for food.  Growing up, I only ate dry toast and water.  Even today I only drink water unless it is morning and I occasionally drink milk but try to avoid infant food from another species of animal.

Should anything else arise, I'll share it.  On with the story:

The newspaper columnist Andrew Bolt is a conservative pundit and an amateur skeptic who is on record for repeatedly raising doubts on the scientific validity of anthropogenic climate change.  As is the case with nearly every article I've read that focuses exclusively on the so-called myths or controversies of global warming such those published to The Australian or The Sun-Herald (or whatever he writes for), his agenda appears to be strictly ideological in nature in his attempts to dispute conclusions which are well-established in mainstream science and elsewhere.

However, I prefer to analyze Bolt's arguments on the merits of his own claims rather than on his particular worldview, political orientation, or newspaper affiliations; and every now and then lapse into mixing up and debunking various claims of those of similar bogus names and denier claims.

I will examine his listed sources one-by-one and respond to each of his claims separately.  I trust that Richard Hames will have an adequate response to Bolt's deranged polemics.

I hope that any one will find this series on climate change useful.

Climate change

Hi Barbi, I was wondering if you heard Michael Zimmerman's talk at Boulder Integral. Still fighting the political debate instead of the scientific one. You will tire and have to admit CO2 does not drive climate change at some point. I just wonder when?

Michael Zimmerman  Watch the full audio, there are two short videos also at boulderintegral.tv

Why don't you bring up your concerns with him. It would be more appropriate.

Flower

Hi Barbi

Here is an extract from “Symbolism Wiki”:

The Flower

flowers blossom from tiny sprouts which grow from tiny seeds under the earth. Throughout the life of a flower, it changes and grows and blossoms. The flower in the story grows like this too, except she grows to becoming more mature and caring. At the beginning she nags the little prince all the time and orders him to do stuff for her. She's seems very conceited, but when the little prince leaves, she feels very sad and thinks that it is her fault that he little prince is leaving. The flower to the prince, is the treasure and the "essential" that one can only see with the heart. He finally learns to appreciate her because he has lost her. The flower can be compared to mothers. Mothers nag their children all the time to pick their clothes, make the bed, take the trash out, and perform different duties. However, their intentions are good. They care deeply for their children and keep a roof over their children's heads even though they might seem unfair or annoying at times. It is when we lose our moms, that we will realize their importance in our lives.

I found it interesting in that you can compare the flower to yourself or to your mother depending on whose perspective you are taking.

Best wishes

Linda
