Lebron James and Ken Wilber

In Reference to:
Right Bucks

As an old song says "First I look at the purse " This money for Spirit does push buttons.  We seem to idolize our atheletes with millions of dollars cause they can slam dunk a basketball, and hit a baseball a long way, but  a bonus baby preacher man, or a  nun who can shake like Britney can , do we make space for them to show up starring as we do our atheletes and rock stars.

I know many people who pay hundreds of dollars for a sporting event, and these same people when it comes to purchasing a book, or attending a seminar that may improve the quality of their life their response is ," thats to much money"

Lebron James makes 20 million a year,  and I just bought a Ken Wilber book for 15 dollars. God does have a keen sense of humor..

Store your treasure in heaven...

--

"Store your treasure in heaven," is a scripture verse in the bible that came to me last week as I was going through some emotional stuff.  I am still contemplating what this verse means to me.  What is heaven and what does it mean to store our treasures in heaven?

Also another verse more relevent to your blog goes something like "for where a man spends his treasure there his heart is."  So in other words if we take a hard look at where and how we are spending our money we can see where our values, interests and priorities are at.

Yes it is sad that some people get millions and others don't especially the ones who fall from grace and from our standards.  The economic state of this world seems totally out of whack to me.  I am reminded of another verse that says it is "harder for a rich man to enter the gates of heaven."  Maybe we could have some patience and compassion for our society as it grows up in fiscal values and responsibility as well.  The rich and the famous aren't always as perfect as we try to make them out to be sometimes.  Besides honestly our lives our just as bad and complicated.

I don't have any major reflections as I am learning to "Store my treasures in heaven," and grow to a mature stage of fiscal value and responsibility in my own life.  I can say that life and love is not always about fancy purses, diamond rings, and spectacular experiences.  They add spice but they aren't the true essence.  There comes a time when what we have is no longer.  What then?  There also come a time when we got to wake up, open your eyes and be grateful for what we have right in front of us.

Thank you!

You are sooooo loved,

Windancer
