It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye. - Antoine De Saint Exupery

About Me

Brett Thomas is the creator of the Integral Leadership Collaborative and the co-founder of Stagen, the Texas-based management consulting and organizational development firm that is helping to pioneer "Conscious Capitalism."  He serves Stagen as Director of Research and Development and is the architect and primary author of the Stagen  best-in-class "Integral Leadership Program."

As an Integral Institute faculty member, Brett served as Managing Director of the Integral Business and Leadership Center for many years. He collaborated with Ken Wilber and other senior Integral Institute faculty members to design and deliver numerous conferences and seminars, including "Integral Organizational Leadership" in 2004 and 2005 and "The Integral Leader" seminar in 2006, as well as the original "Integral Transformative Practice" and "Integral Life Practice" seminars (2004-2005). He inspired and co-created two “Gold Star” integral practices: the “3-Body Practice” (with Ken, Terry, Shawn, Rob, and Huy) and “Focused Intensity Training” (with Shawn), and has been involved in many other integral-related projects.

Career

Brett is a leading figure in the fields of "integral instructional design" and "applied integral theory." He has published hundreds of pages of applied integral theory for Integral Institute and the Stagen Leadership Institute. His company, Stagen, created the first comprehensive "integral business model" for integrally-informed management consulting and organizational development.

Brett is a 20-year veteran of the human performance field having facilitated hundreds of workshops and training programs. He has logged more than 10,000 hours coaching CEOs.

Hobbies and Interests

A long term Dharma practitioner and meditator, Brett is also a producer and DJ for "ecstatic celebrations" and "integral raves." He is known in some circles as the "audio commando" behind ThoughtLab, an independent musical project combining electronic music, binaural beats, and pointing out instructions into a cutting edge, integral-multimedia tour de force that found a cult following during the early "Integral Celebrations" and "Integral Raves" held in Denver starting in 2004. These now-infamous events from the early days of the integral movement produced profound state experiences for hundreds of participants including more than a few "kenshos" and one memorable Kundalini seizure during a finale featuring ThoughtLab music and MC Dakini's (Sofia Dias') Tantric instruction!  Artists including Stuart Davis, Willow Pearson, and Ed Kowalczyk have opened for ThoughtLab and spiritual teachers including Vidyuddeva, Sofia Diaz ("MC Dakini"), Diane Musho Hamilton, and Terry Patten have collaborated and performed with ThoughtLab.
