My Maps Have Arrived!

  - 10 Days earlier than expected Amazon.ca delivered my highly anticipated box of maps!

  • Big Mind . Big Heart by Dennis Genpo Merzel (sometimes listed as Roshi)
  • Integral Consiousness and the Future of Evolution (How the Integral Worldview is Transforming Politics, Culture and Spirituality)  by Steve McIntosh (the maker of the very cool Zen Clocks)
  • Integral Life Practice by Ken Wilber, (creator of work) Terry Patten, Adam Leonard and Marco Morelli (Don't know the rest of the band!)

Have really been getting into the applications of all things integral with the wonderful weekly teleconference call series at http://www.integralenlightenment.com/ 

Hope to read and synthesize this material to make it applicable in my life.  Right now if understanding all of this was a horizontal scale with "Read and Understood" having a +12 the far right and "Books are now wall paper on my book shelf" at the far left   at -12 .... I might be a 0!

The vertical line for me represents integration with +12 at the top representing "Life is lived with this information fully integrated"  and -12 at the bottom being a robot at the command of others, frequently reactive and mostly unhappy.

Vertically I think I am also a 0 - high enough up the scale to know there is something more to life and rubbernecking to see what it is! Of course it may just be another version of information I already know but I guess finding out is part of the journey! 

Really looking forward to these!

Hi Carolyn. I like this scale -  zero, nill, null, zip, empty is in the middle - not so bad. Good luck to you, and us all.

Interesting scale

Hi Carolyn

I found your scale very interesting and also wish you well with your new maps.

A positive score on your horizontal scale is far easier to attain than one on the vertical scale and therein lies the challenge of an integral life - another indication that the maps are not the territory.

I am enjoying your tweets on Twitter and have recently been taking a look at your websites.  The concepts of energy and frequency have been gaining increasing importance in my life recently.
