beyond the hype

Hi All,
Holosync first came to my attention some years ago when i received a flier from Sounds True touting its efficacy.  At the time i was looking for something that i could recommend to those folks who on occasion seek me out; which when added to my own sense of curiosity and personal inquiry i decided to spend the money and test for myself questions of its efficacy, in part based on an axiom that i follow. It holds that truth cannot be borrowed.
Alas i found that it is not possible to adequately test Holosync based on its own claims without spending large sums of additional monies. Reluctantly after two or three additional deductions from my bank account i gave up the experiment; sad to say  i found no positive effects on my psyche or further unfoldment.
This left me with two possible conclusions: a.) Holosync is ineffective; or b.) the initial CDs began at a level not commensurate with my own development. In retrospect the best i can say about Holosync is that it does not take into consideration a purchaser's current development or altitude, evidently preferring instead a one size fits all approach.
Caveat emptor; or perhaps its more apt to say caveat venditor!
Warmly,
Charles

What is the difference between Holosync and Hemisync?

I have been using Hemisync technology for over a decade and would like to know the difference between the two.  As far as I know Robert Monroe originally conceptually/ refined/ developed this approach.  Are they the same - similar?

Holosync

Thanks for your comments, Charles. I have also used some of the lower levels of holosync, but cannot be sure as to whether they have really been all that helpful to me. I do enjoy using the Cd's, and they are relaxing to listen to. That said, there are lots of cheaper options out there that achieve similar results for me, so I have not yet decided whether to continue on to the next level. I have found that Holosync is quite relentless with their marketing once you are on their radar screen!

With regards to the one size fits all - I have also wondered about that. I am currently a neurofeedback technician working with a doctor who uses the technology to help fibromyalgia patients. Before we do any training, we assess patient's brainwaves  by doing a "brain map" so that we can create a protocol that works for them specifically. Does it make sense that a generic type approach would work equally well for everyone? I would be interested to hear what others have to say on this subject.
