About Me

I've been reading Ken's work and studying Integral theory since 2003 or so.  I'm sure my experience is like many other people who have found Ken's work, where upon reading his material, I instantly felt at home.  Integral theory was crucial to my studies in sociology and the humanities when I was in college.  Currently, I'm very interested in how Integral theory applies to education and pedagogy.

I've also trained in martial arts for over 20 years, and this is another field that I'm striving to apply Integral theory to.  I'm teaming with a group of people to start a martial arts think-tank that aims at compiling the universal concepts found across the world's martial arts traditions, and one of my aims is to use Integral theory to aid in this process.

I've also been practicing Zen Buddhism since 2005.

Bachelor's- Sociology.  Minor- Criminal Justice

Career

I'm currently a middle school English teacher. 

Hobbies and Interests

Martial Arts, Education, Zen Buddhism, Blues and Flamenco guitar styles.  I also like playing around in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects; as well as 3D modeling in LightWave.  Although these days, I don't get to play around with the computer graphics stuff as much as I would like.
