Games and purpose
Posted September 25th, 2010 by Brent SimpsonThe 3D extrapolation video you posted certainly can get one thinking about what kind of video game could be fun to play but have pragmatic purposefulness. That is, a video game in which it is fun from a subjective perspective to play around with, but in reality is serving very important functions... this may well be an element of the future of the gaming experience the convergence of fun with usefulness in the world. - This indeed can go the other way with war games that control on the ground machines of destruction. Hopefully we use our technologies more for the former than the later, sadly the trend is to the later over the former.
