Must-see!

During the course of my Integral Life Activities, in the section "LowerLeft Gold Star Entertainment Art Consumption Worldcentric" to be exact, I came across this fabulous movie that I am gonna recommend to you right now.

The Movie is called "Detroit Metal City" and is an adaption of an Anime-filme with the same name. Here's a snippet from the IMDB:

"Soichi Negishi moved to Tokyo to chase his dream of becoming a musician playing stylish, Swedish-style pop. Instead, he finds himself leading the death metal band Detroit Metal City, or DMC, as the costumed and grotesquely made-up "demon emperor" Johannes Krauser II. Although he hates the role and the things he has to do as a member of the band, he has a definite talent for it. Adapted from the hit Japanese comic book by Kiminori Wakasugi, the movie follows Negishi's antics as he tries to reconcile the two very different sides of his life and find out what it really means to achieve his dream."

It's basically the struggle of a university student coming of age, like a japanese version of "Boomeritis" but only much cooler than that. The main character Negishi tries to handle his two extreme Subpersonalities- on the one hand, he is a virgin and tries to impress the high school beauties with his Beatles-like Pop songs, on the other hand he embodies the Personality of Johannes Krauser the second, the Demon from Hell who sings about rape, murder and genocide.

If you want to know how Negishi succeeds in getting the girl of his dreams, and what happens when his Mom find out about the above song text, you'll have to watch the movie (or read the comic book).

Unfortunately, Detroit Metal City has not been translated for eglish audiences yet. If anybody at Integral has some connections to Hollywood or anything like it, why don't you drop the name of this movie on your next V.I.P. Party so that it won't be that long for an adaption for the Western market to appear. Thank you.
