Members who have a disability.
I am wondering about Integral members who have disabilities and are unable to access some materials on the website. I have a reading impairment where reading is almost impossible to do without discomfort or pain. Consequently I unable to read any of the articles. The video and audio clips are the only website contributions that are available to me. I am wondering whether the website could introduce a new feature where some of the articles could be availabe to those who are reading or vision impaired.
Is there anyone else who has health issues that prevent them from taking full advantage of the wonderful material on this wonderful integral website?

Text to Speech technology
Posted March 20th, 2009 by Robert MacNaughtonPress play to have this comment read to you:
Hi Claudia,
I understand this can be frustrating...
Have you tried using a text to speech application?
On a Mac, this feature is built-in and can be found by going to the 'System Preferences' then 'Speech'.
There's a setting for 'Speak selected text when key is pressed'. I set Option-S for my computer, which allows me to highlight anything (including text from this website) and hit Option-S to make the text be spoken to me instantly.
I know this feature exists as well for Microsoft Vista, and other versions of Windows. To find-out how, just do a google search for: 'text to speech for vista' or 'text to speech for windows'
They're not perfect, but it works really well for when I want to have emails or articles read to me while I'm doing other tasks.
