Earthquake in Haiti

I am broken. My flesh cannot form a tear large enough to wash away any of this suffering. My mind cannot begin to imagine the horror and the loss so many millions of people are experiencing at this very moment. And i can barely find the stillness or the silence to hold it all--though i know it is already there, and does not need to be found.

Please do everything you can to support the people of Haiti--with your heart, with your tears, and with your dollars.

To find information about friends and family in Haiti: The U.S. State Department set up a toll-free number to call for information about family members in Haiti: 1-888-407-4747.

The department said some callers may receive a recording because of heavy volume of calls.

The State Department has also set up links on its Web site to facilitate donations to disaster relief agencies.
