Free Integral Audiobooks

You absolutely can, thanks for mentioning this dawnsing.  And to this end, i tried to make things a bit easier for all of you by changing the metadata for the majority of our audio files.  For example, I moved "www.integrallife.com" out of the album title field, replacing it with the series title ("Exploring the Technium") so it would act as the title of your audiobook.  The way it was set up before, you'd have one MASSIVE book titled www.IntegralLife.com with countless chapters, all out of order.  Hopefully this will clean things up for you.

Unfortunately, the problem with changing the status of mp3's to "audiobook" as you describe above, is that the setting is only native to your computer, and doesn't actually add any metadata to the file itself.  Which means i cannot change all of our mp3's to "audiobook", upload them to the server, and have them behave like audiobooks when you download them--they revert to the default "music" setting iTunes assigns to all mp3's.  I found this out the hard way last week.  Face palm.

It's funny--one of my favorite aspects of this m4b audiobook format is a sense of value, sophistication, and even dignity that they seem to add, at least for my own sense of media aesthetics.  In an age when "mp3" has been almost completely devalued, it's nice to have a slightly more "elite" format to listen to these discussions.  With tens of thousands of mp3's littering my iTunes library, my audiobook collection feels classy--dare i say, sexy?--as all get out.

As far as I can see, this is recyled phone calls from the Integral Naked, which hardly makes them Audio Books even if they are converted to m4a format. ;-)
