A Quick Note About Multiple Posts
Hey guys and gals--as you may have noticed, we've had a bit of an epidemic around multiple posts in the Integral Life community for the past few weeks, and i wanted to reassure you that it is a tech issue we are aware of, and are looking into ways to remedy. In the meantime, here's the best way to deal with it:
- Most of our duplicate posts are occurring when we press the "submit" button after writing something, and then receive a "server error" message.
- This is probably met with some level of anxiety ("did i really just lose everything i wrote?") that is almost immediately relieved when we press the "back" button in our browsers, return to the submission form, and see that our text remains intact.
- Assuming that our first attempt must not have worked, we press "submit" again, see the same "server error" message, and repeat the process all over again.
Well, i'm here to help you break the chain of suffering. Or at least the chain of redundancy. Here's the trick:
DON'T RESUBMIT YOUR BLOG POST/COMMENT!
Simply return to the Integral Life community, and check to see if your post is there. 99.9% of the time, your comment or post really is making it through, despite the annoying "server error" you may be receiving (in fact, i fully expect to see that error as soon as i submit this post.) Ignore the error message. The error message is itself an error. It's all just an illusion. These are not the droids you are looking for.
And know in the meantime that we are trying to get to the root of this problem, and expect to have it solved before too long.
If you do accidentally create one or more duplicate posts, help us do a little housecleaning by pressing the "edit" tab, then pressing "delete" at the very bottom of the submission form.
And thank you for your patience!
