Some of my best friends are hallucinations.

About Me

Born: 1953 February 3rd at 8:10 a.m. in Plymouth, England (that should keep the astrology buffs busy for 5 minutes)

Rumours that I was discovered in a crop circle after a UFO sighting as a fully grown sentient being with preterhuman intelligence are largely inaccurate.

I'm eccentric and moody but I try to not to let either show. I love to learn and teach and those things I don't hide.

Education

Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (McMaster University)

Certificates in Nutrition, Athletic Performance Training, Strength Conditioning

Started degree studies in Organic Chemistry, Psychology, Mathematics and Art History but never completed.

Career

I work for the Red Cross transporting out-patients between hospital and home.

In the past I've worked in retail and driven truck; I've been a warehouse manager, a personal trainer in 2 gyms and a corporate executive for an oil company.

Hobbies and Interests

Creative writing: My first novel will be published shortly.

Serious trivia buff - I'm always reading - abstract thinking, bizarre ideas, fringe-of-reality-lost-in-the-purple-haze.

Holistic health - organic food, weight-lifting, proprioceptive exercise.

Taoism, chakra, Aleister Crowley.

Favorite novels: Magister Ludi (Herman Hesse); 1984 (George Orwell); A Voyage to Arcturus (David Lindsay); Tom Jones (Henry Fielding); War and Peace (Leo Tolstoy)

Favorite movies: Apocalypse Now; Brazil; The Hours; The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai; Metropolis

Favorite poems: Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock (TS Eliot); The Garden of Love (William Blake); Sailing to Byzantium (WB Yeats)

Favorite painters: Lawren Harris; Salvador Dali; Raphael; Jacques-Louis David; Michael Parkes
