Thank you, first of all. It was very interesting, and I enjoyed listening to it. I have always wanted to hear some more first-person history like this from Ken. But I have a question: Could you please let us know when this talk was recorded?

If I remember correctly, this was originally recorded toward the end of 2010.

Thanks for the dating that audio Corey. If you read what I just posted, I was interested in the audio quality. To me Ken's voice sounded "shaky" which could be a function of a less than ideal recording or sound file, or it could be Ken. It could be my PC, but I've heard hours and hours of Ken talking in both video and audio files and this sounded very different to me. Am I imagining this, or maybe Ken is not quite as comfortable talking about himself in public as he is talking about theory or practice? I ask this question because it's certainly one I can relate to, as I suspect many of us can. It's easy to talk theory all day, but when you get into the nitty gritty detail about life altering experiences, it's hard to detach oneself from the embedded emotional triggers of those events that make us so very human.

Hey Kurt, just a quick comment about this:

This Many Faces of Ken Wilber recording took place just a week or two after Ken broke his ankle, so Ken was in considerable pain when this was recorded, which may account for the shakiness you hear in his voice. As many of you know, Ken has been struggling with CFIDs for several decades now, which tends to exaggerate any temporary physical ailments that he may be experiencing--from a common cold to a broken ankle. His ankle is now completely healed, and Ken is feeling much better, so there is no need for concern--as you mentioned, his recent dialogues we've published on the site sound completely "normal".

Anyway, I just wanted to be sure to let you know that any shakiness you may have heard was coming from Ken's Upper Right quadrant, and not from his Upper Left or Lower Left ^_^
