Thor, Dune, and the resurgence of myth
So Thor to me was a retelling of the Christ Myth, ("You're safe. It's over.") and I just read Dune, holy shit, which seemed like a retelling of the Old, New, and Koran Testament, as well as the Gita. I was BLOWN away, especially with the idea of prana and the Voice. Would anyone like to talk about these with me? Also, did anyone see the David Lynch film?

Interview With Frank Herbert
Posted June 19th, 2011 by Jennifer GroveThis is part 3 of an interview with Lynch and Herbert. Lynch is done, but Herbert just starts here. He is pretty savvy concerning the linear process of such gigantic myths. Keep listening the interview to the end. It's awesome.
