Thank you for a very clear summary.
Thanks Mr. Smith,
I have just read "On the Future of Art and Art Criticism, Beyond Post-Modernism in the 21st Century" and I have learned a great deal from it. I have struggled with what is Integral art for some time and you have given me a context to answer that question. You have also given me a very concise lesson in the views and lexicon of the historic stages of philosophy. As I have tried to understand the integral theories my lack of knowledge of philosophy has hindered my understanding.
As I create my own art pieces I simply follow what flow’s from within me and have wondered if it will have any meaning to others who view it. With the integral view in mind I can go forward with greater confidence in the creative process I experience. I can also recognize my need for greater skill of execution.
Again thank you to Mr Smith.

Curious
Posted February 15th, 2009 by DamonHi David,
I'm curious, how does this take on art help you to create Integral art? Do you now identify what is modern and post-modern about your art and then attempt to integrate the two. Could you describe an example?
I should say that I'm far less impressed with the essay than you, so I am curious as to how you would put it into actual use.
