unitive silence

I guess it's pretty uncanny that i received cynthia's new book - the wisdom of jesus - in the mail on the same day that her intriguing dialog with david was posted... i think that's called synchronicity, but i tend not to look for 'deeper meaning' in these things... so far cynthia's book is a pretty good read, with some new insights that cut against the grain of orthodoxy - based on the Gospel of Thomas, etc...

Ive only just started reading but it sounds like its going in the direction of jesus as an enlightened sage of non-dual consciousness, which is true as far as it goes but a little too much like deepak chopra's take on jesus for my taste...  people always tend to project their own assumptions and presuppositions onto jesus - and here it looks like jesus in an integral/non-dual sage of higher consciosuness removed from his Jewish matrix... I'm not convinced just yet but will keep reading...but just for the record i trust jesus because he is the exact OPPOSITE of what he would be if i was to create him in my own image of 'spiritual enlightnement'...
