Getting our own house in order...

Great Talk! After listening to this, of all the ideas that stood out, this was most critical:

We don't have our own house in order (economically, ideologically, infrastructure, military), and so we cannot project the leadership and force necessary to create the legal/lawfullness that everything else requires. And, if we don't, there aint' nobody else to step up in our place.

Until and unless we can
1) seriously project the leadership/force/capital to
2) support the values shifts required to make globalization stable, we can expect
3) the dominant meme of each country to hi-jack the forces of globalization according to its nature.

I go back to Wilber's suggestion that if green got a hold of the reins today, it would institute policies that would lead to 3 billion dead. Unfortunately, I think he is right, and the trans-national United Nations style power suggested in this discussion would be that almost by definition.

Let's remember (or perhaps I assert) that Orange is the pivot point here. Without individual rights (legal contracts and private property), green becomes boomeritis, and boomeritis ain't gonna provide the law and order that everything else is built on.

Ha! Yes! But...

This is much like a convo I'm having with joseph over here.

But isn't it Amber which provides the solution to Red problems? The Rule of Law is an Amber skill set, not Orange. Human Rights came after Rule of Law and they're not the same.
