Working with shadow.....with music?

It's strange and try as I may, I work with my shadow regarding the loss of my brother to cancer and my mother from old age and nothing come up. However, if you were to play ES Posthumus's track

"Extremoz"  www.youtube.com/watch

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1AIG_Hf0Gw

or "Isfahan"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6pqdSVj_cw&feature=related   www.youtube.com/watch

I'll cry about them like a baby -and then some.

So what's going on?

Beautiful!

Thank you for this! I've never heard of this music before and am lovin' it. I totally see how it would have that effect.

Like I was tellin' Gregory, music works "under the hood" by directly accessing unconscious stuff. It's awesome how it does that. I find that I'm drawn to music that permits me to have an emotion or an impulse that I would not otherwise feel permitted to have. It seems that this may be so for you as well.

Thanks Jennifer

When I read your reply, I clicked on the music links and there I go again crying once more and can't help but think about my younger brother, Tony, who died of stomach cancer 9 years ago; he had so much going for him. It's so unfair. I was saying to myself that if there is a God I'd like to tell him to go fuck himself for putting us on this earth with nothing more than two books to go by and with thousands of interpretations of it that only confuses us and dumbs us down..  What a sick joke! I realize the absurdity of the above but it's how I feel.

When I'm crying it's also sadness, a feeling of loss not only at losing my brother and mother, but of so many people dying needlessly and unjustly in this often crazy world and not having the power to stop it. We are supposedly seeking happiness but as Petrea King said, www.youtube.com/watch we are beside the truth in our persuit of it. She made me cry too. Not only by what she said but by the way she said it. Petrea truly speaks from the heart and from the trials and tribulations she experience in her own life.

Every time I listen to her, I feel very relaxed and reassured that, yes, George your decision not to follow the herd mentality is warranted and that if I want happiness right here and right now as Petrea said, I lies within myself.

So I'm glad to be part of the Integral movement.
