About Me

Hi, my name is Bruce and I have a deep interest in the Human Condition (Body, Mind and Spirit), our relation to others, and the environs we have manifested to live in.

Born in Heidelberg, Germany, 1963, I was subsequently raised under the sweltering Southwest skies of New Mexico and Texas. I moved to Canada in the late 80s, married, and started a wonderful family; Canada is a beautiful place with a great society - but you can have the weather!  I sometimes lament over adobes and the Mexican/Indian culture and peoples of the Southwest. Thus, I am the “Dislocated Texan”, or at the least, a "Misplaced New Mexican".

I'm an artist and like to dabble in music, writing lyrics, and poetry, too - my art is influenced by the Mexican art movement and illustrative Spanish artists such as Fransisco Goya, and Salvador Dali, Diego Riveria, Frida Kahlo and the Southwest genre in general. I've been a commercial artist, illustrator, and writer for over twenty years, and throughout managed technical level projects.

To me, art is beyond the mere interpretation or extension of our surroundings. It is an extension to our minds. Turn off your TV, damn it…engage! “"TV is a medium because it is neither rare nor well done." - Ernie Kovacs.  Exercise your Body/Mind/Spirit.

• Liaison with advertisement agencies and printing suppliers; knowledgeable in both industries

• Illustrations and schematics for modular Garmin GPS installations in Rescue Aircraft

• Validation of illustrations against technical drawing packages and equipment  

• Securing and managing partnerships, government grants and investment capital

• Manage cross-functional consultants towards interim project goals and completion

• Research and development of products, material allocation, resource, and supplier scheduling 

• Design of corporate and product identities, advertisement layouts, and brochures

• Design and color separations for silk-screened lexan keypad overlays

• Software/hardware verification/validation, evaluations, purchasing, installations and upgrades

• Development and marketing of a CD-ROM of 400 3D-mechanical components for CAD

• Offset/screen printing industry standards and pre-press film requirements

• Have held NATO Top Secret and Secret (Canadian Eyes Only Caveat) classifications

• Music; Specifically guitar, writing lyrics and accompanying music

• Art; Acrylic, Illustrative, and Digital Conceptual Art using an Intuos Tablet and Laptop

• Writing; Poetry, working on a novel
