What is most inspiring to me about being an integral coach is the opportunity I have to support my clients’ further awakening to who they really are and what they are here to do.  To help them realize the unique and powerful beings that they already are, while also helping them to harness their deep motivation to change.  For real.  And doing this not through creating an escape from the challenges of their lives, but rather through supporting them to fearlessly engage their lives and offer their gifts.  As one of my teachers would say, “through your greatest contraction is the gateway to your greatest opening”.  I am grateful that I have the opportunity to encourage my clients opening to the inherent perfection of their lives right now.  I am inspired that as I support others on their journey, it allows me to step further along mine.

Some significant life experiences, education, or practices that have contributed to my ability as an Integral Coach include working as a professional in Silicon Valley, my yoga, Qi gong & martial arts practice, my love as a parent of two amazing children, my commitment to my wife in a life-long partnership, my work helping to create and teach Integral Life Practice, and my belief that we are all fundamentally here to receive, give and be love in a way that only we can.  And that the world needs what each and every one of us has to offer.

Integral Life Practices I am currently involved in are strength training, playing volleyball, martial arts & Qi gong, yoga, parenting, coaching, writing, meditating, developing myself as an entrepreneur, teaching, and hmm.... I guess I’m saying that my whole life is my practice.  I see each moment and each experience as an opportunity to learn and grow from.  But that doesn’t always mean that I do.  And that’s where the practice comes in.

I live an Integral Life because I am deeply motivated to fulfill the potential I have in this lifetime, because it’s the most inspired, joyful, productive, and inclusive way to live.  I live an Integral life because of my dedication to help create a world in which I would want my children to grow up in.  I live an Integral Life because it’s the only way I can possibly live.

People would be surprised to learn that when I was in college, I was part of a fraternity and based on the combination of no exercise and my beer & fast food diet, I had some decent love handles.  A far cry from the paragon of health and fitness that I am now…  Yes, it’s true.  Just shows how much change is possible for all of us.  Thank god for growth and development!
