...Sorry to come from nowhere, but I think I've realized something practically important:

So, the wisdom traditions have known for thousands of years what the most advanced Physicists are now discovering. I'll spare the details.

It seems to me that language, including mathematics, is the means by which we communicate "this stuff" with each other. The real stuff, reached via meditation, can only be pointed to.

A-la Ken's kick-ass integral model, seeing the real deal is exclusively an UL thing, while talking about it with each other, even far-from-adequately, is a LL thing. Simply put: we can talk and share words about each others' experience, but ultimately, what's really going on, is only available to each of us; solely in a perfectly personal (way? no... realm?, no... Shamadi? maybe...

THAT's why we can't "PROVE" what we know.

I also think that it's okay to be okay with that, just don't get all smug about it..

I think a LL interior shared Samadhi is going to emerge. Cohen and his group seem to be experiencing something like this and others are experiencing possible related phenomena. 

Proof exists somewhat separately from whether or not something is shared. As Ken says, scientific proofs are basically a theory and a set of instructions and repeatable results. Samadhi can be revealed using this description of the sci method.

But the "normal" sci community wants rocks that they can measure and track the movement of. This is the real reason why it "can't be proven": because they don't want it to be.
