It's Started

I know it has to happen. I saw it coming. I even dipped my toe in the water already. But that doesn't make me any happier about it.

When my Grandmother was dying, my Egg-Donor was taking care of her for a while. The Egg-Donor hated her mother too, even tho my Grandmother was extremely sweet, kind and gentle. But once the Egg-Donor finally hired professionals to tend to that woman in the back bedroom she could get on with the job of parcelling out all her possessions. She told all the relatives to come and claim the stuff they wanted quick before someone else got it or it all went to the auction. So one by one all the relatives came and put stickers on the stuff they wanted while my Grandmother was in the back bedroom fully conscious and being tended to by professionals. The Egg-Donor didn't bother keeping her voice down or hiding what she was doing. 

The entire thing made me want to kill myself. There was no escape from the horror. 

It's all coming back to me now.

well there's probably two kinds of people: those who see wilber as a cult and those who don't.

well, ok, and a third: those who don't see wilber as a cult and just really like wilber as a human being.

but the world wants to polarise, so it has to get ugly-clear that integral isn't a man, it is a worldview (even if that man is the best and greatest thinker available about that worldview.) 

so yes, would other intellectuals please rise up to the challenge of providing alternative integral models! although i think that's like soap powder and choice for choice's sake. we want BETTER integral models. stuff that includes AQAL and takes it further.

i think that's the real danger. wilber makes the best model and meanwhile some other inferior model gets popularised and becomes known as "integral".

then in about 50 years some other great scholar comes along and notices what happened.

but i hope that the world learns even just 10% of integral, so that 10% is just enough to avert calamity. 

it is not nice. it is sad. life goes on. the standup comic tells another punchline.
