NEW SITE NEWS!

Hi, all y'all. I'm passing along what I heard from Robb about the new site.

They are officially past their (most recent) deadline which was around the 8th of November. I inquired about the progress and Rob said that they had 3 separate technical difficulties interfacing between the new site and the old . The code on this site is that bad!  He is trying hard not to put pressure on them, but it sounds like they are deeply feeling into the challenge anyway. Bless their hearts! He says def by the First quarter 2012. 

I'm wondering if we might get more accurate ETA's from Nostradamus. In the tradition of prophecy and all...  

Wouldn't it be funny if they went live for Christmas next year? LOL I think it would be freakin' hilarious. I can hear KW laughing his ass off about it now. 

Anyhoo, I just wanted to let everyone know the scoop and give you a heads up that I'm gonna be a Bitch just thaaaaaaaaat much longer!

Question about this site . . .

 . . . which, it seems that you might have a little insider info. When they move to the new build, is it going to bring along our posts with it? I suppose I should save my stuff anyway, which I will, but I'm doing a weekly blog and I would hate for all that disappear.

technical issues

Thanks for the news update Jennifer. Any chance you might be able to find out some more details on the technical issues and post them here? There might be folks in the community who have the necessary skills and who might be open to volunteering some time to help out, in the interest of bringing the new site online sooner.

Of course, it may be the case that the project team already has a solid handle on what needs to get done and more "help" may not be of much help at this stage. But I just figured I'd throw this out as a suggestion.
