Raising Your Stage of Consciousness Integral Transformative Practice Beta Testers Wanted

As Ken Wilber has explained, there are two major ways of growth available to people. One is through "horizontal states" such as waking, sleeping, dreaming and duality.  The other involves "vertical stages" which have been a focus of western developmental psychology.  Both ways of growth are crucial.

Higher stages, ie growth in "vertical stages" gives us more eyes to look through. Ken describes it as a larger scope for care and compassion.  Other than meditation, which has been viewed as the most effective method of "transforming vertically", nothing else has shown an ability for adults to successfully raise their stage of consciousness.

What's the value to the world in an awakened state in a population that is at a very low stage of development?

I am a layman who has been thinking about questions such as this for several years.  I have developed what I hope and believe is a new Integral Transformative Practice and am looking for beta testers who are willing to spend some time and use it. As you would expect, it will ALWAYS be free for our beta testers. It's value is in the experience. So as to maintain everyone's privacy, contact can be made through private messages.  If you are interested in participating after reading the following instructive material, just send me a private message, your Time Zone and a requested username and password (or in the alternative I can provide one for you), and I'll send you the URL for logging on. For those who actually use it, I think it could be transformative.  I am looking for your feedback on any and all issues!

The Raising Your Stage of Consciousness Daily Ritual is an Interactive Program in the Form of a Web-Based Computer Application for Tracking the Progress of your Increase in Conscious Awareness in the Present Moment. You Acquire Good Values, Build Strong Character and Practice Daily Discipline through Conscious Thoughts and Actions that Help Raise Your Stage of Development.

For developmental growth, individuals need to be exposed to things in their environment that challenge the level they're at and support responses from the next higher level.  Energy flows where awareness goes. Individuals need to emphasize their strengths and work to strengthen their lesser developed or problematic areas.  They literally need to think and then act their way to higher stages.  Succeed at change by keeping track of change.

What are you creating in your life?  Evaluate if your thoughts and actions are resourceful to you or not resourceful.

Look for negative beliefs.  Look at the results.  What have these negative beliefs accomplished for you?
What do you want?  What external results to you really want?  What do you have to believe to get these results?  Be your own witness to the thoughts and actions you take.  Things only mean what you think they mean.

See your progress.  Have you made progress?  Look at where you are and then look back and see whatever progress you made.  Get satisfaction in progress!  Don't measure against an ideal.  Measuring against an ideal as opposed to whatever progress you made will only make you unhappy.  You will always feel frustrated.

We feel attached to the meanings we have placed on things.  We don't want to let go of them.  You have to be able to recognize when you are in discomfort.  What meaning are you putting on this?  Is this meaning making you happy or unhappy?  Learn to watch!  Become consciously aware of your own thoughts and behaviors.  Your job is to get so you notice these things.

What you focus on determines the quality of your life.  Focus on “what you want” - Conscious Focus-
not “what you don't want”.  Your mind is a “goal seeking mechanism”.  Everyone is good at manifesting things in the world.  The mind creates whatever it focuses on.

You attract what you think about.  Be careful with what you focus on.  You have complete control over what you think about.  Think and Act!  Think about what you DO want and take ACTION!

The more you passionately think about what you want coupled with action will help you get what you want!

You will eventually choose 4 Lines that you will work on during the 13 week period of this program.

It’s a matter of looking at your life and being aware of what you need to change to create a different outcome, where you may be lacking in some behavior or where others have commented to you that they see you as falling short or having difficulty. Perhaps change may be where you simply see opportunities where you can improve the way you act in particular situations, or where you see specific strengths that you know you want to encourage in yourself. You’ve got to know where you currently are before you can choose where you want to go!

When you log into the Raising Your Stage of Consciousness Daily Ritual for the first time, please note that the navigation links on the left hand side of your screen are not “active” until you eventually have chosen and entered the Starting Date for your current Raising Your Stage of Consciousness Daily Ritual and that Starting Date has arrived.

You will have an opportunity to choose the starting date AFTER you have finalized the following process.

Begin now by reviewing the list of Lines.

Click on any Line to display and review its written extended description.

Pick 9 Lines that seem to fit any that you might wish to change or encourage. Later on, you will eventually reduce these 9 to your final 4.

It is not important if the behavior you wish to change or encourage is not “perfectly aligned” with the description of a particular Line on the list. They are simply broad examples. Virtually any behavior we humans exhibit can be related to one of these Lines, one way or the other.  That is why we also included the option of Special Lines A -D, which act as “wild cards” to depict any special behavior that you want any Special Line to represent.

For any Lines you eventually choose, including any Special Line, you will have the opportunity to enter your own description and keyword(s) that best describe and remind you of the essence of the behavior you want to encourage.

Click on and create your list of 9 Lines. Then click PROCEED.

Next, choose the final 4 Lines from the list of 9 Lines for your 13 weeks of practice.

Create and click on your list of 4 Lines.

After you’ve chosen your 4 Lines, click PROCEED.

Next, choose any of the 4 Lines for 1st 3 weeks of concentrated practice. If your list of 4 should include a Special Line, designate a Special Line for 1st 3 weeks.

Choose any other Line for 2nd 3 weeks of concentrated practice.

Choose any other line for 3rd 3 weeks of concentrated practice.

Choose any other Line for 4th 3 weeks of concentrated practice.

During the 13th week you will do concentrated practice on all 4 Lines.

Until you actually choose a Starting Date for your Raising Your Stage of Consciousness Daily Ritual and then actually click on “save”, your present list of 4 Lines are not “locked in” yet.

If you needed to, you could log out, come back later or use your back button to go back several screens and choose a new list of 9 Lines from which you will again pick your 4 Lines for this program’s practice.

When you have finally decided on your 4 Lines to practice for this 13 week program, choose a starting date for your Raising Your Stage of Consciousness Daily Ritual to begin by clicking on the little calendar icon visible to the right of the date field.

You can start the program on any date accept for today. If you happen to choose today’s date, the system will automatically inform you that your program will begin TOMORROW, not today. You cannot begin your program on the same day you choose your starting date.

After you have chosen your Starting Date, you can now sign out and login again on your Starting Date. On the Starting Date you have chosen for this 13 week program, log in and you will automatically come to the “Today” screen where you will find additional INSTRUCTIONS.

For your convenience, you can view those instructions below.

On the starting date you have chosen for this 13 week program, log in and you will automatically come to the “Today” screen.

The screen will already reference your primary Line that you previously picked for this week.

You will also see a space in which you should type in a brief phrase that describes for you the “essence” of your primary Line and the behavior you wish to practice.

DO NOT PRESS “ENTER” YET!

Also type in the space below the above phrase what YOU feel is the best one or two keywords to bring this Line to your mind. It could be the same as the name given for this Line on the list or something that better describes it for you in just one or two words.

Once you are satisfied with both your phrase and keyword (s), you can then press “Enter”.

Once you press “Enter”, you are no longer able to edit those two fields during the next 7 days.

At the beginning of each 7 day period however, you will have the opportunity to either re-enter the same descriptive phrase and/or keyword(s), if you still find them satisfactory as daily motivating reminders, or you’ll be able to enter a different description and keyword(s) if you did not find the original ones to be satisfactory for you.

Each day, in your Raising Your Stage of Consciousness Daily Ritual, you keep track of the number of times you have successfully exhibited the new behavior concerning this week’s primary Line and your 3 other Lines.

You do this by slowly and deliberately clicking once on the number in the Blue box corresponding to the Line and today's 24 hour Day/Date for each time you exhibited that Line's behavior on today's date only. Each click adds +1 to that box. Should your click on the number in any Blue box be non-responsive, (ie no increase in number or the number disappears), click on Page Refresh and try again.

You might use a 3 x 5 file card carried in your pocket or an electronic PDA or notebook to allow you to record events that take place during the day. Each evening, you think about your day and for each instance where you displayed the proper behavior for any of your 4 Lines, you slowly and deliberately click once on the number in the Blue box corresponding to the Line and today’s 24 hour Day/Date.

Today’s Blue box is the only “active” column you can click on. This means that your behavior today, can only be recorded today, in the "present moment."

The system will record and display how many times you clicked on the number in each corresponding Blue box for that day and every day, keeping track of the Lines and the number of clicks so that reports can be displayed in the form of graphs, charts or straight numbers for you. Should your click on the number in any Blue box be non-responsive, (ie no increase in number or the number disappears), click on Page Refresh and try again.

Other than for your own benefit, no record of this information is accessible or viewable by anyone else other that the holder of the specific login name and password.

Why is it so important to keep a daily record of your progress? Day-by-day (or more often) assessment of your accomplishments is more accurate than your recall a day or a week or so later of how well you managed.

You can also input both clicks and Gratitude Journal entries as many times during the day as you wish. Many people, however, only do it once a day in the evening. Data for a specific day can only be inputted during the 24 hours corresponding to the day in question when the column is blue.

You can’t input today’s data on any other 24 hour period than today, so be conscientious. Once inputted, the data cannot be changed.

You are the only person who will ever see it unless you show it to someone else.

Consistent recordings force you to become more concrete, more realistic, and more objective in thinking about what you're attempting to accomplish. You can then better decide what observable, measurable changes you would like to accomplish. Many people find that as soon as they start observing the behavior through daily records, the behavior frequently, almost immediately starts to improve.

Raising Your Stage of Consciousness Gratitude Journal: Keep a detailed record of your daily expressions of Gratitude.  On a daily basis, try to include at least 5 things you are grateful for.

After writing a Gratitude Journal entry, unless you press ENTER, the entry will not be saved and will be lost if you go to another page.

You can make as many daily entries to your Gratitude Journal as you wish, as long as you click on ENTER to save what you just wrote before doing anything else.

Past Gratitude Journal entries are saved and indexed by the week in which the entries were written.
