Integral Arctic

We finally got the Integral Finland website going after a few months' preparation. I don't know how many of these "national" sites are around (besides Integrales Forum in Germany) but we are pleased with our take on the subject. Integral Finland hosts a bunch of articles, including Sean Esbjörn-Hargens' excellent introduction to AQAL, as well as an account of a one-year-ILP-experiment. There's also a forum open for discussion.

The release of the site is timely, since the translation of A Brief History of Everything came out some two months ago. The book has generated interest - I gave six presentations on Integral theory and practice in 2008 in conferences ranging from new agey to academic - and almost all of my translator's copies have sold out. So that means a lot of shipping & handing since I live just about in the farthest region where you can live in Finland.

We - me, my wife and our son - moved to the island of Utö in the end of February 2009. Utö is situated in the outer Archipelago Sea in the southwestern part of Finland. The island is pretty small both in population (c. 45) and size: it is about a square mile altogether. Lots of snakes, birds and ships around. Very beautiful! And what a place to rest, work and practice! :)

There is a short summary in english available at http://www.integralfinland.org - go check it out!

Congratulations

Congratulations on getting your website up and running. I have taken a look at it and find it very inviting.

I commend you too for translating "A Brief History of Everything" into Finnish and for starting an integral salon in Turku.

When Ken spoke live on Sunday he mentioned the importance of taking what we know and making it available to others.  You have heard this call.

I visited Finland in 2007 and found it very beautiful - cold, but beautiful!  The wide expanses of nothing but white spoke to me of the emptiness out of which all form arises.

May the form of your endeavours be richly successful.

Best wishes from South Africa.
