Beat the clock vs patience for God?

--What if the idea of being patient is really just setting us up to lose the game of beat the clock, as it applies to climate change and environmental issues? What side of that equation would you prefer to be on? 

What if it is our consciousness that IS God, and we have programmed it into inaction and waiting? 

Not advocating shoot from the hip, but endless sitting can't be helping either.

Are we accountable to change?
