ON DREAMS

Just as an experiential witness of dreams it seems quite obvious that they are not a singular phenomenon sourced in a single dimension of reality.  Uncanny psionic activity, life-symbolism, subjective presentation of neuro-physiological structures, the influence of biospheric, collective human or cosmological energies, genetic memory, genetic anticipations, etc.  Add this to the experience within dreams themselves of periodically crossing thresholds where the style of content is quite different.

However, the "rules" of subtle planes are quite different.  I don't find them amenable to consistency and therefore forgive the Wilbersaurus, et al., for not simply demonstrating dream teachings (assuming they don't!) in a straightforward manner.  Systems which teach that the soul seeks embodiment explain this impulse by suggesting that the temporarily stable nature of gross events provides an incredible opportunity for self-development and communication... an opportunity not so easily seized in subtle dimensions.

As the ancient Dalai Lamas said, "This precious human birth..."

ON INTERIORITY & EXTERIORITY IN DREAMSCAPES

It seems we cannot conceive of even a causal body without already having imagined it as object-like in a world of potential relations.  I personally cannot credit myself with the source of all subtle energy "entities" and "pseudo-entities" in my dreams any more than I credit my brain for constructing the reality of waking state entities.  That is to say I have part in their appearance but my involving depends upon them already "being there" in some sense.

So I would suggest that the inertia associated with validly existing exterior beings exists in dreams (a) depending upon the zone of dreaming in which one is exploring (b) differently from gross inertia.  That is: instead of direct push-back there is resistance in the form of excessive fluidity, intransigence, ungraspability, etc.

ON SUBTLE ENERGIES

I have a lot of history working with subtle energies.  Having almost always been disappointed with the ontologies and theoretical depth of the finest energy-workers I grew increasingly fond of Wilhelm Reich's attempts to objectively nail down a psycho-active, massless energy field in ways which couldn't just be vaguely explained as "chi or prana or God or whatever..."  Reich, infamously, drew conclusions about an "orgone" energy with specific physical and subjective properties which related it both to organismic bodies and psychological states.  Since he was also one of the primary Western pioneers of the transference phenomenon it always seemed natural to me to wonder whether a subtle field of living energy provides the "juice" and "screen" which is employed by our own inner complexes in order to relay them back at us, superimposed on the forms of the world.

Since this is supposedly a "living energy" we could perhaps test it by determining whether the function of projection is weakened or intensified in astronauts living farther away from the atmospheric subtle energies of the Earth biosphere.  

I think we run into a lot of confusion when we don't differentiate subtle energy from "mere" bio-electro-magnetism.  The latter is amenable to control by the brain's unconscious (as a possible mechanism for the generation of dream entities), but even then it cannot be expected to every function in isolated from overlapping streams and fields of equivalent energy.  Stars, planetary cores and weather events are fluctuating as patterns through our simple body electricity.  So dreams and projections at this level are complexified by external issues.  And as for the variety of massless, trans-gross electricities we have only the glimmer of a real science...
