Mystics in Conversation!
What is a gnostic intermediary? Well, for me, listening to Ken and Roger helps to answer this question. They both have an ability to translate and transmit widom to how we each do the careful work within ourselves; to reach higher developmental levels of awareness that transcends culture differences, while at the same time embracing them. No easy task for sure. Yet, if we look at so many inspiring mystics; Buddha, Jesus, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King, just a few, each of these bodhisattva's ability to move mainstream towards greater visions and ideas, clearly show this can be done.
If we can move into higher developmental understandings, spirituality certainly one of the most important, then through the process of some inner technological application such as meditation, contemplation, yoga, martial arts, just to name a few, then these can often act as an unlocking mechanism to unleash within us energies of a higher order. We move through the lower order levels of survival into the higher order levels of creation.
When we embody the body, mind and soul at the higher levels we shed our old skin of behaviors, limited beliefs, and start, as they say, giving each other permission to be honest. Our place in evolution, at this time in our history, gives us a never before opportunity to live as a humanity with divine natures........and it is through our own creative evolution at these higher stages that we open to multi-dimensional realities, such as integral, and where these higher perspectives and understandings do the creating....Dear friends this should be the most exciting moment of your life....that you are here now and have this grand opportunity.
We all have the opportunity to be mystics in some unique aspect of this great vision before us. It is our time to not argue but to just do the necessary work within ourselves, and then together co-exist as a unified community to help bring enough mainstream into this great vision. This is the great conveyor belt......We are this conveyor belt......it starts within each of us....
Forgive me such passion; but you see the fire of love has taken hold and I want all of you to feel this too.
Love to you always,

12-Step Gnostics
Posted April 24th, 2010 by Nancy Chaplin--I just joined this site today and it was in part reading about gnostic intermediaries that inspired me. Among the mystics you mentioned I would add Bill W, founder of AA. AA and other 12-step programs are, in my opinion, one of the most accessible carriers of at least part of the integral vision. In my semi-rural spot on the globe I attend meetings where farmers in bib overalls sit next to corporate executives and share a common wisdom along with a common disease. Academically, I know that 12-Step philosophy was influenced by Jung if only indirectly. My entry into AA has not only helped me for obvious reasons but has also amazed me at how closely allied its core principles are to the spiritual principles many integral enthusiasts share. AND, how so many who reflect a huge array of developmental levels truly GET IT.
