A Plethora of Information!
Posted June 9th, 2010 by Mary Linda Landauer
In Reference to:
Integral Mahamudra: The Mandala of AwakeningWhat a gift we receive from all these great teachers as being part of Integral Life. All this information, teaching and wisdom: aspirations need development, practice needs ethics and right view, and to stay grounded in our always, already presence we must have intentionality and will. A big thanks to Patrick Sweeney, Trungpa Rinpoche and Ken Wilber. I feel so blessed with all this abundance.

You can tell I am in a glorious mischievous mood today. Some days arrive like this, when my little world is so funny, at least to me, that only laughter is able to dispel these insane contractions. My back is not good (getting better) from working very hard in the Big Sangha Garden last weekend, which everybody agrees is a lovely thing to have, but hardly anyone helps with, with the exception of a much appreciated help from my husband. But he is not so strong at the moment and I am always aware that he might overdo it. I appreciate your prayers vey much, dear Mary Linda. Outside, my own garden is being ruined by very efficient - but not exactly aware of the fragility of plants - refurbishing workers. There is a cacophony of noise all around so yesterday I did my "drill-and-bang" meditation hiding under the stairs. And, and..on top of all that, I could not continue with my little sculpture of Vajradhara, because there has been a transport strike and there was no clay in the shop. And..on top of all that I am planning doing my kitchen up when all the hullaballoo outside is over. And if my luck holds, ha, ha, I hope to go to Germany in September to visit my children and grandchild. So now I fully understand the Tibetan saying "Hope for the best but prepare for the worst" Humour seems to do the trick for me, so I woke up laughing. Sky-dancing requires less effort I think. I am going to cultivate that!
....and, yes I can feel this powerful lightness of being......while, also aware of the density....humor is the only anitdote....or taking off with my friend to sky dive.....

Inspirational.
Posted June 10th, 2010 by Marita FaabergI had the privilege of listening to Traleg Rinpoche some years back at our Dharma centre in the middle of the Norwegian woods. He came on two different years and he made a deep inpression on my somewhat immature Dharma practice. I was happy to see him here talking with Ken. I think there are many misunderstandings concerning Buddhist practice, probably as many as there are concerning any other tradition. The Buddha is sometimes so admired and adored that we lose sight of the truly revolutionary teachings He brought to humanity. The human mind finds it often more confortable, easier, to admire than to commit single-mindedly to a practice that might take decades rather than years, to show fruits. Both Being and being-in-the-world, the absolute and relative, emptiness and form, the One and The One-in the-many, are always present in the various depths of our Buddhist practice, and developing wisdom and skilful means is absolutely necessary both to transcend ego-limitations and to act compassionately in our world. Even when imperfect, this is our motivation and our constant practice.
For myself, looking at the "New Integral World" this cross-fertilisation of Eastern and Western traditions is amazingly inspiring and enriching. So thank you Ken, Patrick and Traleg Rinpoches!
Thank you Mary Linda. Always a pleasure to read you, heart-friend. My love to you always already. (=:
