An invitation to donate! =)

Hello everyone, I hope today finds you well.  I come to you with the proverbial hat in hand except the hat isn't mine but rather a friends.  I have a friend and lover in the Peace Corp doing health care work in Senegal.  She is attempting to raise enough money to supply her villaige and surrounding ones with long lasting mosquito nets.  Each net costs two dollars and that pays for the actual net, shipping, distribution and educational instruction for the users!  Because of the small costs involved even a frugal donation can go a long way...

I asked her once why the rate of children dying from malaria is so high and she said it is first mostly due to their underdeveloped immune system but also if there is only one mosquito net per household the husband or man (I use this term loosely) of the house will sleep under the net and the women and children will go without!  So obviously there are other issues at hand but we can deal with those once everyone can get a safe nights sleep.

I understand the our financial situation and I wrestled with donating myself, but again even a five, ten or fifteen dollar donation will get children nets... And my friend gets to be the one to hand them out so we know they are actually going where they need to.
