Jim Garrison's 5-2009 talk contradicts Crichton's "State of Fear" Data

  Trying to be integral, I am reading State of Fear by Michael Crichton.  It is an mildly interesting book in some ways, but pretty obviously written with an agenda...from my perspective.  Anyway, my point for this blog is that in this book, Crichton makes a big deal about that Greenland is actually cooling down and its glaciers are actually growing in size and have been for years, while in Jim Garrison's  talk (see below) he discusses that enough water comes off Greenland from melting ice to flood Texas 13 feet deep.  So, there are potentially serious discrepancies here that can easily be checked out.

  At any rate, so far I see Mr Crichton's protagonists making the same errors as the antagonists in his book: making statements as if they were absolute facts.  However, Crichton doesn't acknowledge the problems with the protagonists data, but seriously disses the antagonists' data.  In other words, he ignores the evidence in favor of global warming and then states anything against it as a given fact.  While this book is "fiction", he presents literature evidence in the footnotes to support the protagonists, but never for the antagonists.  Thus, while it is obvious this is a book with an agenda, because Mr. Crichton is such a world renowned figure, I think he is being irresponsible in writing this book in this way.  However, I should not be surprised, as this is obviously now a political, not a scientific argument and if so, then this is to be expected on both sides, because that is how politics is done...from my perspective.  All I see is red and amber using pseudo-orange data.  By pseudo-orange, I mean incompletely presented, unbalanced data.  Crichton had a chance to write a balanced book that would tell the whole story while maintaing the evil conspiracy aspects, but I think he just blew it.
