Talking Points: Thank You!

  I just wanted to thank Clint Fuhs and others for the time and energy to put together the Obama/McCain: Seeing Through the Talking Points.  While it did not change who I voted for, it sure made me feel better about it. Previously I just had this "feeling" about who I wanted to vote for, but after seeing the talking points analysis, I was better able to look at other talks and analyze who the candidate was really talking to and why.

  Being stuck in the green meme most of my life, I could easily see both candidates' points of view and agree with them both.  However, the idea of holon-archies of morals and ethics was also helpful to allow me to sort through the various verbiages produced in vast excess by both candidates and make some sort of reasonable, conscious decision about them.

  Overall, I thought "Talking Points" was a really good way to show integral theory in action and how it could help during a time in which many of us were engrossed (or grossed out) by the political campaigns.
