Are we as productive a community? Could we learn from them?

An amazing thing happened toward the end of last year when the HTC HD2 was released into the market. This is one of the most advanced smart phones yet built. Problem, it ran windows based mobile 6.5.

a team of developers gathered together to make it possible for an android (linux based) platform to run on it.

It took nearly 8 months to perfect on all levels of the device.

Space.

#notime is similar to noun-time, only it does not exist. It is like noun-time without the u or the n or the -, and with a #before it.

it is a measure of eternity.

"notime" and "noun-time" are not separate. They exist as part of the same flow. If you look intentfully, you may notice that "notime" (#notime, without the specific "#" demarkation {check spelling}) - is actually embedded withinin noun-time i.e. noun-time. Without "notime", "noun-time" becomes merely "un-"

envelopes "notime" It holds and contains it, without having to change its own self at all. As "noun-time" is moved by its own context (and of course, the Breath of God, and by its own particular creator), so "notime" is carried along by "noun-time", restfully, i.e. without noun-time missing a beat.

Luxury

I wish Integral could afford the luxury of a team of mods and admins. But they can't. That is a large part of why that kind of self-reflection works. I've tried to start it without that kind of oversight help, but it didn't happen. It isn't necessary to have leaders to make it work, but ironically people think it is. And if they think it is, then it is. Weird how that works.

How do we compare as a community.

I have been over the last few years learning to manage and build my website and so run into informational forums often, they all have some very strict codes of interaction that are very off setting for "noobs" (i think that means new or inexperienced but welcome visitor) ... with the xda i am blown away be the efficiency with which they seem to operate.

At this time one of the projects that am watching is the reverse engeneering of windows mobile 7 for htc hd2 / it was previously thought that the phone would be upgradable however upon release all those customers who bought the phone last year looking forward to having the fastest phone on the market with an future free upgrade to mobile 7 were burned to find out that would not be happening, the phone would not be upgradeable.

That is where the open source geniuses enter to work out the problems in there own time to solve the problem. To watch them explore technical issues and trade information packets and build kitchen sinks and dump files is next to amazing while they all go to work every night as they have time to work out known issues and bugs. it is an evolutionary event on display for the fittest and best ideas to emerge and be proven for effectiveness and usage.

The TEchnologics have an advatage because they operate in the concrete. They are working with a thing.

They are doing it as a community. and finding success.

They have directions and threads 100 pages long from singular projects...

I would like to know what we are working on! What are the issues that need solved.

I would like to know what I can work on today that can improve the integral awareness of humanity.

I want to focus on the work of building a world with an integral foundation.

is there a letter of notice that i'm missing weekly on accomplishments in the field of integral with an open invitation to personally become involved

Does this already exist and I just don't see it because I've yet to evolved to the developmental vein of existence that I'm trying to extrapolate too?

Does that matter?

the techie site was nerve-wracking, but decidedly fascinating

a high risk of getting lost in la-la land, it adds to the sense that everything is unnecessarily encrypted

I would not exchange the "spiritual" community that I feel belonged to

for either this one or that

I think I understand!

You're looking ahead at the next chapter! LOL That chapter is about: Now that we have established a New Mode of Discourse, what does it want to do?

I'm guessing that it will want to solve problems also. But that will be an emergent that arises from the new holon, not from any one of us. It will both perceive and operate on things which we cannot even see as individuals. This is something my instinct is telling me loud and clear.

Somehow, it will bring it's own powers to bear on a project. I'm guessing that it will be big. And I'm guessing that it will have a dimension of autonomy that we can't even dream of, so it will actually have the power to change something big.

I am curious also. But I don't think we get to know just yet.
